🇷🇺Field modernization Photos have emerged of a Russian T-80BV where the crew has independently reinforced their tank's protection. The first thing that catches the eye is the additional explosive reactive armor blocks on the front of the turret. They are somewhat reminiscent of the armor on Czech and Slovak versions of the T-72, but in this case, the explosive reactive armor blocks overlap. You can also see that the driver's seat, in the "neckline," has been reinforced. We can praise the crew's decision, and we will monitor how this solution performs. Perhaps these solutions will migrate to factory-produced tanks (although on the new T-80BVM, neckline protection is partially addressed, but apparently not on a large scale).
