BAPCO Energies confirmed on April 5 that a storage tank at its Sitra facility in Bahrain caught fire “as a result of a hostile Iranian drone attack.” The fire was extinguished. No injuries. Damage under assessment. That is the official statement, repeated verbatim across Bahrain News Agency, Gulf News, Al Arabiya, and Xinhua. It is clean, attributable, and consistent with the pattern of Iranian drone and missile strikes on Gulf energy infrastructure that has continued daily since February 28. Then the videos appeared. Footage circulating on social media, shared by Drop Site News and multiple Arabic-language accounts, appears to show two sequential impacts at the facility: one from the incoming drone, and a second moments later from what the accounts describe as a Patriot interceptor missile that failed to intercept the drone and instead struck the oil storage tanks directly. The videos have not been independently verified. The trajectory analysis has not been forensically confirmed. BAPCO’s statement does not mention air defence involvement. The Bahrain Defence Force reported 13 successful drone interceptions in the preceding 24 hours and made no acknowledgement of a misfire. This has happened before. On March 9, an explosion near BAPCO in Sitra injured dozens and was attributed to an Iranian drone. Reuters and the Middlebury Institute subsequently concluded with moderate-to-high confidence that a US-operated Patriot interceptor caused the blast. Drone fragments were absent at the impact site. The damage pattern matched a Patriot warhead detonating at low altitude after losing its target. Bahrain later acknowledged Patriot involvement without formally correcting the original attribution. The March 9 precedent is what makes the April 5 videos significant. Not because they prove the interceptor hit the tank. They do not prove that. But because they introduce a documented pattern: in saturated airspace where dozens of Iranian drones arrive simultaneously, Patriot systems operating at the edge of their engagement envelope against small, slow, low-altitude targets can produce outcomes where the defence causes the damage it was deployed to prevent. The drone is the threat. The interceptor is the response. And the oil tank does not distinguish between the two when the impact arrives. BAPCO operates a 405,000 barrel per day refinery at Sitra. It was struck by confirmed Iranian missiles on March 5, triggering force majeure. It was struck by what was later assessed as friendly fire on March 9, injuring residents. It was struck again on April 5 by what officials call a drone and what videos suggest may have also involved an interceptor. Three incidents in five weeks at the same facility. No force majeure was declared for April 5. The fire was contained rapidly. But the question the videos raise is not about this fire. It is about what happens when Patriot systems engage small, slow, low-altitude drones in saturated airspace directly above the infrastructure they are positioned to protect. Iran does not need to penetrate the shield. It needs to force the shield to fire in conditions where the shield’s own projectiles become the threat. The defence and the attack converge on the same target. And the oil burns either way.

Massive strike on Kiev. Analysis of the hits. Zelensky hadn't even had time to boast about acquiring a small batch of missiles for Patriot air defense systems when "Geran" drones and ballistic missiles arrived to put them to the test. The final tally is impressive. "San-Park" was hit for the second time in a month. On August 11, up to 15,000 FPV drones with thermal imagers, along with control stations and components, were destroyed at this Kiev office and warehouse complex. Just over two weeks later, the Ministry of Defense again called it the largest center for storing and distributing strike FPV drones. They had time to restock it. Efficient. Well, then they unloaded it again. In addition, a plant for assembling "Hornet" loitering munitions was hit in Kiev. This means that large-scale assembly of American drones was established in the capital. It was. In Boryspil, the "Aleksandrovsky" complex, where components for long- and medium-range drones were stored, was targeted. Five days ago, "Iskander" missiles destroyed dozens of heavy trucks converted for transporting and launching long-range drones in the same area, near Boryspil. Earlier, "Ukrspetsisystemy" with large-scale assembly, "Mayak," "Radiomierzitel," and "Fire Point" were also hit. The Kiev agglomeration is the headquarters of Ukrainian drone production, and now it's being targeted like a daily commute. Next, the metal industry. Zaporozhye and Kryvyi Rih. The Kryvyi Rog plant had already been shut down after a strike on August 16 – at the time, the press service itself acknowledged a partial halt in production. Now, they've added to both there and in Zaporizhzhia. Without rolling stock, there are no hulls, no ammunition, or "ovens" for equipment. The Kremenchuk oil refinery was also hit for the second time in two weeks. The wording is telling: the plant was also used for transshipment of petroleum products coming from abroad. They don't have enough of their own processing capacity – they're transporting someone else's. They were. And the ports. In Odesa and Chornomorsk, 24 storage facilities with military equipment were destroyed overnight. They've been targeting Reni on the Danube throughout August: on the 7th, 13th (when a naval control point was located there), and 21st. Today, it's again infrastructure for unloading and fuel. In Illichivsk, a drone assembly plant and a plant for producing sodium nitrate were hit. Plus, and this is perhaps the most important thing, the energy infrastructure that powers the ports. A crane without electricity is a rusty monument to past luxury. A port without energy doesn't accept, unload, or ship. In total: production, storage, distribution, raw materials, fuel, imports, energy. Seven links in a single chain, destroyed in one strike. We continue to work. Александр Коц

🚨🚨🚨 It doesn't really get any more real than this and you need to hear it 🚨🚨🚨 I want to introduce you to these two deadly units: The 1st FPV Strike Platoon PNK Group of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Strike Unmanned Systems Platoon of the 47th Magura Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Both of these units are the pinnacle of the world's drone warfare and part of formidable and renowned brigades; their names echo through the ranks of the Ukrainian military and chill spines throughout the ranks of the Russians. These units unleash utter devastation and death onto the Russian forces; they turn the ground the Russians walk on into a living hell, a place in which their supplies, their troops, their back-up, every thing gets deleted, their every fucking hope and dreams turn into an unimaginable shitshow of despair. If it has a pulse, a heat signature, or a set of keys, it's getting turned into fucking fairy dust around these guys. The 1st FPV Strike Platoon PNK Group of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade provides close tactical strikes, reconnaissance, and direct-fire/loitering-munition effects in support of assault operations on the frontlines. The unit uses high-speed FPV strike drones and larger multirotor bomber drones, and is integrated with the brigade’s reconnaissance and assault companies. The Strike Unmanned Systems Platoon of the 47th “Magura” Separate Mechanized Brigade is a dedicated strike/attack unmanned-systems platoon. It conducts aerial strikes, close support to mechanized units, battlefield reconnaissance, and interdiction of light vehicles and enemy personnel using FPV strike drones and larger strike UAVs. These men work in the most dangerous areas, where they are needed the most; they oppose the biggest threats on the front lines, they cause the most devastation, but they need our help. Given the type of work that they do, they need to move fast, they need to be invisible, and strike before the enemy knows they are there and be back a camp drinking tea whilst the Russians are still collecting their comrades remains with a fucking carpet vacuum hoover. With your help I'm trying to send them 2 NAFO Truck 3.0's with the NAFO 69th Sniffing Brigade. These trucks are the 69th Brigade's newest and most kitted-out trucks made specifically for units like this. Above all, they are reliable; they have two fitted electronic-warfare drone jammers for different ranges and frequencies to protect the vehicle when it moves, it has night vision so the driver can watch a screen and drive in the pitch black as you cannot use headlights on the frontline, they have serious battery packs to run operations off when out for prolongued periods of time, they also include a spare set of heavy-duty off-road tyres to help them get through the mud to keep them mobile. These new NAFO Truck 3.0s even have FPV drone-spectrum scanners, which means if a Russian drone is in the air, they not only know it's there, they can see which type of drone it is and they can even watch the video feed that the Russians can see so they know exactly where it is. I really need your help to do this. I need you to help to spread the word, and I need you to think just for a second, is there is absolutely anything that you can donate? So many people will see this, and naturally, they will assume that everyone else will donate, but this is almost always not the case. If you want to make Russians hurt, if you want them to regret ever leaving their Russian infested shit swamps, then donate here and help these guys destroy these fucks: Pardom my French.

Since last night, our emergency services have been working at the sites of the Russian strikes. A wicked attack – as of now, we know of dozens of wounded, including children and a pregnant woman. Sadly, four people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. About 430 drones and 18 missiles were used in the strike, including ballistic and aeroballistic missiles. This was a deliberately calculated attack aimed at causing maximum harm to people and civilian infrastructure. In Kyiv alone, dozens of apartment buildings have been damaged. The Azerbaijani Embassy was hit by debris from an Iskander missile. The main target of the attack was Kyiv, and strikes also hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. According to preliminary data, the Russians used a Zircon missile in the Sumy region this morning. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko has already reported on the progress of rescue operations at the sites. I am grateful to everyone helping our people. Commander of the Air Force Anatolii Kryvonozhko also reported on the results of our air defense work. I thank our warriors for their effective actions. Ukraine is responding to these strikes with long-range strength, and the world must stop these attacks on life with sanctions. Russia is still able to sell oil and build its schemes. All of this must end. A great deal of work is underway with partners to strengthen our air defense, but it is not enough. We need reinforcement with additional systems and interceptor missiles. Europe and the United States can help. We are counting on real decisions. Thank you to everyone who helps.

Iran Loses Frigate and Yak-130 and Decides to Deploy Jet-Powered Kamikaze Drones An Iranian frigate was sunk near Sri Lanka, nearly 4,000 km from the theater of operations. Another Iranian catamaran was hit by a missile launched from a drone and headed for repairs. Tehran was heavily bombed today in a day that, according to Iranian authorities, 900 civilians were killed. Iran also reported downing another drone, this time a Heron. However, an F-35I shot down a YAK-130, with both pilots ejecting safely. Facing these recent losses, Iran decided to deploy two jet-powered drones: the Arash-2 and the Hadid-110. Both are stealth drones that reach more than 450 km/h, with the Hadid exceeding 500 km/h. The targets of these drones were more high-cost radars existing in the region, with the Arash-2 in this version achieving hundreds of kilometers in range. Iran maintains an average of 300–500 drones launched per day. While these numbers have been decreasing, the drone models seem to have greater explosive payload and to be more modern. Despite all the surveillance and attacks that the US and Israel carry out, there is a limit to the ability to inhibit Iranian capabilities due to various tactical, geographical, and armament diversity factors. Today Iran is still launching hundreds of drones and between 30–50 missiles, a level that should stabilize or stay slightly below that. However, the big issue that will not be resolved is the reopening of Hormuz and relief for the markets. Iran still possesses around 5,000 mines, which if dumped in Hormuz will seal the closure for long periods. As I have been saying, it is not the capacity for destruction that dictates the rules in this type of war, but the asymmetric nuances of the theater, giving Iran the advantage. For example, if Iran starts mining the Strait tomorrow, oil prices should exceed $100 and gas $70/MWh. This control of the Strait will not be taken from Iran anytime soon, since the American navy still remains 700 km from the Iranian coast out of fear of anti-ship missiles. I even have the impression that Iran does not want to sink any American ship, as this would cause outrage in America and could escalate the war, even increasing support for the government. I say this because the American fleet is within range of Iranian anti-ship missiles even at 750 km. The true enemy of the US-Israel coalition today is not Iran, but the global economy and the political pressure both internal and from the Gulf countries. Can the US-Israel sustain this pressure for much longer?

A little update on Yuki ❤ She's had a few medicated baths along with her med's and is looking a lot cleaner. Her skin problems are also showing signs of improvement already 😍 At the moment she's still very fragile, but she has the will to get better 💪💪💪 At first, all she wanted to do was lay down in her bed, which is understandable because her body needs to start to recover. She's now started to take little walks, so we've covered her bare skin with a T-shirt to avoid sun burn. We're so happy that she's taking these little steps! 😍🐶🥰 Yuki's currently on 4 small meals of recovery food daily, to allow her stomach to get used to digesting again. She's actually getting up to go and eat when she smells the food now, which is wonderful 😊 She's still struggling to walk and has quite a way to go before she's fully fit, but all the signs seem to be good! She's definitely going in the right direction 😊💪🐶❤❤❤ Yuki is only one of many we're helping by providing food, shelter, veterinary care, medication and a dedicated team to give them all the love and care they need. We're almost running on empty and it's a constant struggle to bring in the donations we need to help them. ANY amount helps us to continue to do this work. We desperately need donations to get us from month to month! Without YOU we are nothing!🙏🏻 ❤ To support us you can donate here: Or follow the details on our website for bank transfer here: Thank you so much to all who contribute to take care of our beautiful rescues 🙏🏻 you're as much part of the team as we are! 🙏🏻🐶😺❤❤❤ Also, please kindly share to help us reach more people 🙏🏻🐶😺❤ #rescuedogs #animalrescue #dogsofbali #dogsofX #puppylove

I recently read an interesting article by a journalist and one of the founders of the Babel online outlet, Hlib Husiev, who spent three days with the group that created the "Horynych" drone. Main points: ◾️ The Horynych drone is a modified French Skyranger ultralight aircraft. Ukrainian engineers and light aircraft enthusiasts have turned it into a formidable weapon. They removed the pilot's seat from the Skyranger, added an auxiliary fuel tank, batteries, navigation and communications systems, and hardpoints for munitions. Horynych gained the ability to carry OFAB-100-120 fragmentation-high-explosive aerial bombs (about 40 kg of explosives) or the more powerful OFAB-250 (100 kg of explosives), as well as 120-mm mortar bombs. The drone's hit precision reaches one meter, and its flight range is up to one thousand kilometers. The uniqueness of Horynych lies in its ability to navigate through GPS-spoofed zones and evade Russian air defense systems such as the Pantsir-S1, Buk, and S-300. It can return and land autonomously. ◾️ For two years now, the group led by the commander with the callsign "Horynych" has been striking strategic targets in Russia. He does not disclose his real name for security reasons. Before the full-scale invasion, "Horynych" worked in a business far removed from war; during the pandemic, he became interested in light aircraft and obtained a pilot's license. In spring 2022, he volunteered for the front, served in the territorial defense, then in the Special Operations Forces, and later moved to the 14th UAS Regiment. His unit is now focused on strategic drone strikes with ranges of up to several hundred kilometers. The drone was named after his callsign. ◾️ The "Horynych" group was able to create an unmanned aircraft for deep strikes and carry out successful missions thanks to many factors: from administrative backing and freedom of action granted by the commander to intelligence and special equipment from partner countries. The entire group is made up of light aircraft enthusiasts. The drone's missions are not disclosed. What can be seen, however, is their result: burning Russian strategic infrastructure. For "Horynych's" operations in 2023-2024, members of the regiment have already been awarded two Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. The "Horynych" operations themselves are complex, multi-stage missions. First, reconnaissance drones are launched to identify air defense positions and signals intelligence stations. Then come decoy drones that distract the attention of the air defense systems. Strike drones, such as the AN-196 Liutyi, attack EW systems, creating a 'corridor' for the Horynych. Only after that does the bomber drone set off for its target, covering hundreds of kilometers. Thus, on the night of October 6, Horynych flew about a thousand kilometers, dropped two 120-mm mortar bombs and an OFAB-100-120 on the Yakov Sverdlov factory in Russian Dzerzhinsk (near Nizhny Novgorod), and then dove kamikaze-style onto the target. At that enterprise, the Russians produce explosives and fill FAB bombs for aircraft with them. A few hours later, a second drone repeated the attack, and the next day, another seven Horynych drones completed the mission. Such strikes inflict serious damage on Russia's military-industrial complex - on factories, arsenals, and facilities of the oil and gas complex. "Horynych" himself estimates the total losses inflicted on the occupiers at between $3 and $5 billion. Full article is available here:

If there is a BJP-DMK alliance, I will support, campaign and vote for Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s party! I have been saying that BJP Tamilnadu is the only force that can challenge CM Vijay ideologically, for which the party has to start working hard and look for long-term dividends. But if the party acts as an extension, or even as part and parcel, of the Dravidian ecosystem by trying to piggyback on one of the Dravidian parties, what is the use of backing such a spent force that doesn’t have any vision or desire to bring about change? Let me make it clear that anti-DMK sentiments run through my blood, and if BJP, a party that I sympathize with, tries to have an alliance with DMK, then I will be compelled to disown BJP too. There can be some compromises in Parliament while passing bills such as the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Act, 2019, where the DMK supported the Bill. But an electoral alliance between BJP & DMK will not sit well with a hardcore nationalist like myself. Why should I vote for the DMK and help in its empowerment? I’d rather support CM Vijay and his party and send MPs from Tamil Nadu to Parliament who I believe will work in the best interests of the state. I can afford to take this stand because, as a sympathizer of Narendra Modi, I am confident that he can still secure a simple majority, without depending on Tamil Nadu, as he demonstrated in 2014 and 2019. 2024 was an aberration because of several factors. To conclude, in 2029, I will still remain a sympathizer of PM Modi, but if there is a BJP-DMK alliance, I will support, campaign and vote for CM Vijay’s TVK Party HQ

America is not running out of bombs. It is running out of the shield that makes bombing Iran survivable. That is the war's real asymmetry, and it inverts everything. Once US aircraft flattened Iran's fixed air defences, America could swap million-dollar standoff missiles for cheap guided bombs. Offence got cheaper by the night. But there is no cheap way to stop a ballistic missile in flight. Iran's reply burns THAAD, Patriot and Standard Missiles, the scarcest, slowest-built weapons America owns. Tehran / IRGC does not need to out-bomb America. It needs its surviving mobile launchers to keep forcing those interceptors out of the tubes. The numbers are stark. Defending Israel the most closest and the most powerful Ally in the first phase, America fired more than 200 THAAD interceptors, roughly half the Pentagon's entire inventory, + over 100 Standard Missiles from Navy ships. Around 200 remain. No new interceptor has arrived since August 2023, and none is expected until 2027. Output is about 96 a year. Washington signed a 35 billion dollar contract to reach 400, over seven years. Money solved the order. It cannot solve time. One myth is worth correcting. Iran is not firing cheap drones to make THAAD shoot them down. THAAD kills ballistic missiles. The drones stretch radars, fighters and the lower layers, the cruise missiles hunt for gaps, and the ballistic missiles force the expensive shots. Iran is attacking the entire defensive stack, not trading one drone for one interceptor. Then China. It does not run a total embargo, and it does not control 98% of all rare earths. It controls roughly 98% of refined gallium, dominates the magnet chain, and runs a licensing system that quietly denies foreign defence buyers while civilian trade flows. America has received no Chinese yttrium for two months. Beijing can throttle the upstream of the very weapons Washington needs for the next war. Every interceptor fired over the Gulf is one unavailable to Ukraine, Korea or the Pacific. Iran's remaining launcher is worth more than the missile inside it, because it forces America to spend time, and time is the one munition no factory can surge. This war is not a test of which magazine empties first. It is a test of which side makes the other spend the future to survive the present. Oh boy!
