Last week, I attended my last NATO meeting as Secretary of State and I took a moment to reflect on why NATO came together in the first place. For 75 years, we've seen time and time again that a stronger NATO is the best way to prevent war. Our Alliance provides people with the peace and stability that enables them to pursue fuller lives. It's why countries continue to join NATO. And why it's in the interest of the United States to continue to be engaged and a leader in this Alliance.
