Honourable Lonzi further questioned why there is no policy that standardises courses and degrees across universitie, such that an Engineering degree from UCT would carry the same standard as one from Fort Hare. He added that such standardisation could potentially reduce the cost of courses because the discipline would be uniform across institutions. In a follow-up question, Hon. Lonzi stated that if the education system were standardised, university councils would also be able to treat institutions equally. Issues arising at any university would then receive the same level of attention and urgency as those at any other institution. #EFFInParliament

She reports facing ongoing harassment and intimidation from other drivers, some of whom are pressuring her to withdraw the charges, while subjecting her to blame and shame. The student also says that the suspect has not yet been apprehended.
