For those who don’t know the girls name is Bethany Hamilton. She is a surfer who lives in Hawaii who surfed in competitions. The shark attack happened in 2003 when she was just 13 years old. After the attack she proceeded to practice surfing and won a surfing competition even after the shark attack. There is a movie called Soul Surfer that’s about her. Now she is a mother and living a great life.
