In front of 20 colleagues. She said it felt “icky.” The facilitator singled her out and demanded she publicly confess the ways she had personally benefited from white supremacy. Her response: “I don’t feel comfortable answering this question because you’re only asking me because of my skin color that you can see.” After the meeting, the person who asked her went around the entire school telling everyone she was racist… because she wouldn’t participate in the ritual. She got smeared for refusing to play along. This is what public education looks like in too many places right now. If you can, homeschool your little ones.
