A tense situation was reported as officers of the Road Development Authority moved to remove stalls of Kimbulawala street food vendors in Battaramulla, claiming them to be unauthorized structures.

If they have permission they should have letters to show. Same rules for all. Times are a changing and if this govt was voted in to make this country better, we are all going to have to change our attitudes and ways.

Unauthorized is unauthorized, simple as that, this is not like previous governments where ministers gave permission to their henchmen to do as they pleased in public spaces, nor can they bribe the authorities as they used to. cleaning up 76 years of rot is hard but has to be done

All unauthorized street vendors should be removed, as they usually block the pavements on busy roads, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk safely and comfortably.

Law should be implanted, remove all street vendors who have taken over the road and acting like they own it. No one is above the law
