A third US political party? A monumental challenge and a worthwhile goal, likely requiring decades (like most worthwhile goals). Back in 2024 I said when speaking with Farzad 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 & Hans C Nelson 🗽.

@farzyness Right now I’d settle for a few more Thomas Massie’s and Rand Paul’s in the house & senate.

@farzyness @HansCNelson It would be far better to create and fund the largest superpac that rewards across the aisle for critical issues — vs having to make a party that takes a position on all issues.

@farzyness @HansCNelson Do you not realize there are already dozens of parties in the US? Do you not further realize that throughout the history of the US a different set of two parties has always dominated? Our system produces this outcome. You will always have two parties that matter.

@farzyness @HansCNelson It seems like a far-fetched dream. But… If Elon’s dead set on making it happen though, I’m on his side 100% and I wouldn’t bet against eventual success.

Not necessary. The third “populist, America first” party has basically captured the majority of the nation in the current form of the Republican Party. The Senate certainly and maybe the House still as a whole do not represent this phenomenon. The Senate still has about 10 RINOs that can gum of everything. They need to be gone and significant change could happen. The issue is not enough moderates but actually too many.

@farzyness @HansCNelson I remember that interview, well said, and I agree with you today.

@farzyness @HansCNelson The different parties are not the problem. It’s the system of legal bribery that, in its current form, requires elected officials to advance the views of the entity that donated the most $$. You can’t curb the flow of bribe $$ without trampling on free speech.

@farzyness @HansCNelson There are already 3rd parties with good infrastructure as a springboard and more importantly ballot access. Green Party is the logical party for Musk to dump his money and influence into. The green abundance bro era is upon us. Break the machine.

@farzyness @HansCNelson The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. A third party would just be a new collection of people to disagree with. Much better to remove the weeds on this side of the fence.
