A timelapse of an old tutorial. This is something I always do whenever I need to model a though/complex shape or detail; a smooth mesh without any details, a rough drawing of the detail then retopo with combination of subdiving and shrinkwrapping.

This is a (kind of messy) example of how I do it! Basically you make a copy of the piece (in this case the sleeve) and then put it in the shirt deformer. Then pose the model and adjust the glue as needed! I use a shortcut to hide the mesh/glue display to paint glue easier~

Fox Head Base WIP. Still a lot to do and alter a few things before I call it done. Going to work on some eyelids, eyebrows, tongue, change the bottom jaw a bit and create the color mesh for the eyes. Very happy with the way this project is taking shape. The head is a combination of TPU and PLA.

I used an old metal mop bucket—already filled with soil and a plant—as the base, then added a few simple touches: lights, berries, and snowflakes from Hobby Lobby (maybe $15 or so total). The finishing detail was a bird’s nest I once found in an abandoned house. What do you think?

Here's how to do a bit of VFX work using Seedance 2: If you generate with Seedance 2 you often get a great shot but unfortunately with one or more minor artefacts. Instead of discarding the generation, you can actually edit the video using Seedance 2. In my case it i had to remove a character and I did this using simply as the prompt and using the original video as reference: "Remove boy from video". I then regenerated the missing detail (the boy) using an isolated version of the boy that I removed. And then animated using Seedance 2: "the boy runs sideways and stops. white background. he stays in the center of the screen." In the tutorial below, I'll show how I got rid of an artefact in a shot I liked, and used good old compositing to combine a two videos. As always I'll share the link to the Space below.

Big news I found a way to convert Gaussian Splatting into a standard mesh while preserving all the visual advantages of Gaussian Splatting, such as reflections, shadows, and lighting that changes depending on the viewing angle. The result is excellent performance, even on an old laptop or a VR headset. And of course, the mesh can be animated like any regular 3D mesh, while still keeping the visual benefits of GS. I’ll soon show a full-body character animated using this technique.
