"Is it just me or does anybody else sometimes wonder now that we are adults why they didn't teach us how to grow food in school?" "Didn't teach us how to do taxes in school, build houses or be handymen in school?" That's an easy one. School isn't meant to create free thinkers or teach people how to be self sufficient. It is designed to train people to be just smart enough to follow orders and obey. The LAST thing any government wants is people being able to take care of themselves.
