Man Arrested After Knife Incident, Bradford College A man has been arrested following an incident near Bradford College this morning. Reports were received from 9.21am of a man armed with what appeared to be a knife on Great Horton Road. He was detained by college security staff and arrested by attending officers. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two members of the public and assaulting two emergency workers. He was also arrested for a racially-aggravated public order offence and causing damage to a police vehicle. The two injured members of the public have been taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. A small gardening tool was seized by police at the scene. Detective Inspector Ailis Coates said: “We know that this incident will understandably cause some concern in the community. I would like to reassure people that the suspect was quickly detained by security staff and arrested by the police. “We understand that this incident has been witnessed by a large number of people and that some people may have filmed bits of it. We would ask them to please share this footage with the police as it could greatly assist us in our ongoing investigation. “We currently have a police scene in place on Great Horton Road and people can expect to see our neighbourhood policing colleagues in the area providing reassurance to college staff and students and the wider community.”

Air1 Assists TPS in Locating Suspects in Shooting Investigation The DRPS Air1 helicopter assisted Toronto Police Service in the arrest of two suspects in a shooting investigation. On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 4:00 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to the area of Thickson Road North and Taunton Road East after receiving information from Toronto Police Service that two suspects involved in a shooting in Toronto earlier that afternoon were in the area. Air1 conducted an aerial search of the area and located the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Whitby. Shortly after, the vehicle left the residence and Air1 followed the vehicle into Oshawa, providing updates to TPS and DRPS officers on the ground. At one point, the suspect got into another vehicle, which Air1 began to follow. At approximately 5:15 p.m., units were able to box in the vehicle the suspects fled on foot. Air1 followed one suspect, and he was taken into custody. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Air1 located the second suspect in a nearby playground and he was taken into custody. A 40-year-old IT professional was arrested after allegedly firing an air gun from the balcony of his apartment at security guards, parked vehicles and a parking shed in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The accused, identified as Anurag Tiwari, a native of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, works for a private company in Whitefield and had been living in Flat B304 of the Bliss-1 block at Sipani Apartments near Bandapura for the past eight months. According to police, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. after Tiwari had allegedly consumed alcohol. Residents claimed he was shouting while speaking on the phone before stepping onto the balcony and allegedly opening fire with an air gun. Police said he continued firing for nearly 45 minutes, creating panic among residents. The air gun pellets allegedly struck several parked vehicles and the parking shed. Security guards who responded to the commotion were also reportedly targeted, though no injuries were reported. A resident whose car was damaged said the firing shattered the vehicle's window. He then contacted the caretaker, who was away from the lodge at the time. He explained that the apartment was mostly occupied by nursing students, but none of them were around when the incident occurred, leading to suspicions that the suspects may have been monitoring the victim. PART 1: Dancing for Israel, handcuffs for Palestine Hundreds gathered at Dam Square on Thursday evening for a rally by Op de Bres voor Israël. Amid arrests and violence, our footage shows people dancing with Israeli flags on a square with a long history of war commemoration, while a short distance away pro-Palestinian counter-protesters were being arrested with force. Around thirty counter-protesters had gathered near the National Monument. Dozens were arrested; police have not released exact figures. According to another journalist present, a man on the pro-Israel side hit someone. We did not record the assault, but our footage appears to show him being arrested. Officers let him go. A second man told us he was hit by masked Pro Israel attendees and he intends to file a police report. A third violent incident was witnessed by us. In none of the three cases was the alleged aggressor taken away. At Oude Turfmarkt, police held a group of counter-protesters in a cordon for roughly two hours. A woman became unwell. A bystander who says she is trained in medical and emergency response told Whispering Media that police refused to let the woman leave and initially refused to call emergency services. When she tried to help herself, officers threatened her with pepper spray, she said. Our footage shows an ambulance arrived about thirty minutes later. Another protester was knocked to the ground and, according to information received by Whispering Media, broke an arm in three places. The person is undergoing surgery today. We will report further once more is confirmed. Seven tourists were also taken away in a detention bus. Our footage shows two of them surrounded by officers moments after leaving a shop with a purchase. They were not part of the counter-protest. Two journalists were pushed by the ME. They file a complaint. The footage raises specific questions. Why could one side dance and wave flags while those protesting the destruction of Gaza were arrested with force? Why were men accused of violence not taken away, while counter-protesters and even tourists were? And on what grounds did police decide who went into the detention bus? The incident happened after the suspect secretly removed his left hand from his handcuffs. When officers began driving to jail, the suspect attempted to open the squad car's rear door, prompting the officers to get out of the car, and eventually climbed into the driver’s seat and took off. One of the officers managed to jump into the backseat of the vehicle. That officer then attempted to stop the suspect by tasing him and striking him on the side of the head with his firearm. The suspect opened the driver’s side door and jumped out after driving what police said was a distance of about 1,000 feet. At that point, the police officer was able to regain control of the patrol car, and the suspect was given medical assistance before being taken back into custody, where he faces numerous charges.
