They stormed the Tano Numire forest, where galamsey activities were in full swing, swiftly halting the illegal mining operations, arresting two Chinese nationals, seizing three excavators, and destroying their shelters on site. The youth also claimed that some chiefs and elders of the community are complicit in the illegal mining activities.

🛑: On Monday around 5:00 pm at Esereso Adagya in the Ashanti Region, a man jumped into a river under a bridge. People searched for him to try and rescue him but couldn't find his body in the water. A ceremony with libation was performed, asking the river to return the body the next day. However, since Tuesday is a sacred day for the river, nothing happened until Wednesday, when the river brought the body to the surface. Before the ceremony, it was said that if the river itself had taken his life, the body would not return. But if he had jumped in himself or someone else was responsible, the river would release the body.
