Bookmarked. An absolute gem. As was John Clarke. He came to my grandson’s school for an “evening with…” chat. Small audience of 40 or so. He was a delight as a human being, with a deep compassion, and sense of justice. I was so glad to have met him that once.

What a marvelous privilege, Richard. Never to be forgotten. ❤️💞

I remember this one as clearly as I remember Kevin 07 on the big screen at Elder Park in 2008. I remember feeling hopeful. What the hell has happened to us.

There was only one John Howard who could have made that speech ... the other one was a racist prick!!! ... and Peter Dutton would still walk out ... because ... well he was like his hero!!!

.. & all because even back then, everyone knew The Rodent would never say Sorry

John Clarke was amazing. A creative genius indeed.

@ItsBouquet So sad that this genius has left us. I remember the episode and it now strikes me how no one was up in arms or offended by it. Australians truly are a weird mob.

This is a favourite of mine when they couldn't get the real Seekers. Brilliant show.

See Mr Howard, it wasn't that hard after all. A short but truly incisive summary that took 3 minutes....just 3 minutes but, no, no, no, you just couldn't bring yourself to acknowledge the carnage. I should respect past Prime Ministers but not you Mr Howard. Brilliant post Jenny.

I miss his capacity for observation clever strategies & wit!
