We were both filming at focal length exceeding 750mm (that clip here is around 1000mm) and therefore at a safe distance for observation. Shot on @canonaustralia EOS R3 at 51.200isos, reframed and brightened in post.

Following my re-visits to Crimea & Donbass, I've finally found the time to stitch together some of my footage from Mariupol! The city is brimming with life & construction. This short clip is a taste of what I saw in my recent visit, with a couple of clips from visits last year & late 2022. I'll be putting together more videos from my last visit—there is so much construction that's happened since I visited last year. I was astonished. For a city "destroyed" (as Western mouthpieces claim), Mariupol is pulsing with life.

My home has now become a heap of rubble… The hardest moment was when my father saw our destroyed house with his own eyes. From the moment he heard the news of its destruction, everything in him changed — his voice grew faint, his health declined, as if sorrow had settled in his heart and never left. Our home was the fruit of his life’s work, years of effort lost in a single moment. Ah, I can’t stop my tears, my heart is overflowing with sorrow 😔… I am so sad for my father, the pain of losing him cannot be described 💔
