Yep, their idea sounds nice and liberal, but it's completely insane if you think about it. If a nation is an idea, then either it belongs to a state with borders, and you need to put all dissidents in gulags for reeducation, or it's not connected to a state at all, which would make it completely innocuous, and you'd still need a way to regulate immigration that doesn't have to do with the "civic nationalism."
