Ed, to me the answer is pretty straightforward. Russia is the aggressor and must not be allowed to profit off what they have done. If NATO show's weak leadership, it will begin to unravel.

But if Ukraine loses something to gain peace, then what's to stop Russia from just rinsing and repeating in a few months? Ukraine just wants Russia to give back what they took and get out of their country. They shouldn't have give up anything for that. It's theirs.

The only solution is going to be a peace deal that has Ukraine relinquishing control of the territory Russia has secured. I realize many don't want to hear that but it's exactly how this will end.

Mike Pence's answer to why the US should continue to give money to Ukraine, is right on the money in my opinion. The idea that we shouldn't be giving money to Ukraine, is not a good one. If we let Russia steal Ukraine's land, what is to stop them from continuing to invade other nations? What is stopping them from invading an ally whom the US would need to send US troops in to defend? History is a great lesson and too many people seem to forget history and underestimate Putin. We can't just hand Ukraine to Russia. They won't stop there. So many Americans are accusing Biden of trying to feed World War III. NO! We won't have a World War III unless Russia invades a NATO nation. They don't invade a NATO nation unless they take Ukraine.
