🎬A una isla de ti (2026) es básicamente una carta de amor a Gran Canaria. Los paisajes, la comida, el sol y toda la atmósfera son preciosos; sinceramente, me dieron ganas de comprar un billete y escaparme allí. 🌴🍽️ Freddie Dennis y Jaime Zatarain son, para mí, lo mejor... de la película. Tienen una química natural y muy encantadora. Mi único problema es que la historia juega demasiado sobre seguro. La dinámica de “británico serio conoce a español de espíritu libre” resulta bastante predecible, y algunas subtramas hacen que la película se sienta más cargada de lo necesario. No está reinventando la comedia romántica LGBTQ+, pero, siendo sincero, a veces solo quiero hombres guapos, paisajes increíbles, buena química y una historia que me haga sentir bien. Gran Canaria is carrying this one and it works Freddie and Jaime have that easy chemistry so the serious Brit meets free spirit local thing is easier to enjoy it is not reinventing anything but sometimes you just want good looking men nice food and a place that makes you open flight tabs.

It doesn’t reinvent the rom-com, but the chemistry and Gran Canaria do the work. Sometimes that’s enough.

The friend’s-dad angle gives the usual free-spirit setup a sharper awkwardness than most of these films bother with. Those indoor moments with the window light seem to carry more of the tension than the big scenic shots.

The chemistry between Freddie Dennis and Jaime Zatarain really does carry the film, their ease together makes the “buttoned-up Brit meets free-spirited local” setup feel warmer than the premise suggests.

How strong is the food and scenery compared to the romance? Because the island alone might make me book a trip.
