Here's an update on the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz: Iran used a drone to bring it down, most likely in a kamikaze-style attack in which the drone flew directly into the helicopter. The drone in question is widely believed to be a Shahed-136. Although relatively large, the Shahed-136 has a small radar cross-section, making it difficult to detect. It likely approached at high speed and very low altitude, catching the helicopter crew by surprise.

BREAKING: The U.S. military is ruling the skies over southern Iran. Video recorded near Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, southern Iran, shows a U.S. Army AH-64E Guardian attack helicopter patrolling over the Strait and flying near Iranian fishing boats to identify the individuals aboard them and ensure that they are not members of the IRGC Navy. Because of the presence of these helicopters, as well as armed drones, fighter jets, and many other U.S. military assets over the Strait of Hormuz, IRGC Navy personnel can no longer freely operate vessels or boats in the waters off southern Iran. Only local fishermen and civilians are allowed by the U.S. military to sail in the waters south of Iran.

In an interview with Al Mayadeen on Wednesday, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that the Iranian Armed Forces, which usually take responsibility for their actions, have not claimed responsibility regarding the Apache helicopter, even before the United States made its accusations. He added that Iran consistently announces its military actions, whether it downs aircraft, drones, or targets military bases, stressing that Tehran always makes its position clear. Professor Marandi said there is a possibility that the helicopter crashed due to technical failures, questioning why an Apache attack helicopter was operating in the Strait of Hormuz in the first place. He explained that US military hardware in the region is not being stored under ideal conditions, noting that bases have been destroyed and that the summer climate, including sandstorms and high humidity, is causing significant wear and damage to equipment. 🚨 A-10 WARTHOGS AND APACHES ENTER THE FIGHT IN HORMUZ U.S. forces have escalated operations in the Strait of Hormuz. According to statements attributed to General Dan “Razin” Caine: A-10 Warthogs are now actively targeting Iranian fast attack boats AH-64 Apache gunships are engaging drones and militia-linked threats This is a significant shift. The A-10 is built for one purpose: Close-range destruction of ground and surface targets. And now it’s being used to hunt fast-moving vessels in one of the world’s most critical waterways. At the same time, Apaches are expanding operations across the southern flank and into Iraq — targeting threats before they can escalate. This marks a new phase: Not just strikes from above… But persistent, close-range battlefield control. And in a chokepoint like Hormuz— That changes everything.

BREAKING: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released video footage showing this morning's precision airstrikes against Iranian targets near Sirik on the Strait of Hormuz. According to CENTCOM, U.S. aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, as well as coastal radar sites, in response to Iran's June 25 one-way attack drone against the Singapore-flagged cargo vessel M/V Ever Lovely as it was departing the Strait of Hormuz along the coast of Oman. CENTCOM described the Iranian attack on commercial shipping as an unprovoked violation of the ceasefire that endangered freedom of navigation through one of the world's most important maritime trade routes. The command added that U.S. forces will continue protecting commercial shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz and remain prepared to enforce all provisions of the agreement with Iran. #OperationEpicFury #OperationLionsRoar

Shipping monitor TankerTrackers has rejected a video aired by Iran’s state television claiming vessels had stopped in the Strait of Hormuz thanks to Iran’s threats, saying the ship wad owned by Iran. The state TV said two Iranian journalists had reached the middle of the strait and filmed ships turning off their engines while awaiting clearance. TankerTrackers said the vessel shown was in fact the empty Iranian tanker NAVARZ, owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company, and not operating in the Strait. According to the firm, the tanker was stationary in Iranian waters south of Hormuz Island in Iran’s Hormozgan province and has remained there since March 13, 2025.

Alex Jones says that Israel most likely committed a false flag terrorist attack against the United States Apache helicopter that was taken out near the Strait of Hormuz. Jones says there is no coincidence that the false flag took place on the anniversary of the USS Liberty. Jones says this needs to be investigated as a false flag. “Iran has not taken credit for it.”

BREAKING: U.S. Central Command announces that the U.S. military has conducted strikes against Iran in direct response to Thursday’s attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM Statement: “U.S. aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites after Iran hit M/V Ever Lovely on June 25 with a one-way attack drone. The Singapore-flagged cargo ship was exiting the Strait of Hormuz along the Omani coast at the time of Iran’s attack. The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire. Furthermore, Iran’s dangerous behavior undermined freedom of navigation as commerce increasingly flows through the vital international trade corridor. CENTCOM forces continue to provide safe passage coordination and support to commercial vessels transiting the strait. The U.S. military remains present and vigilant to ensure all aspects of the agreement with Iran are adhered to, obeyed, and in full force and effect."
