Italian dockworker Romeo Pelliccaria tells Drop Site that Genoa workers are now coordinating with dockworkers from around Europe for a full-scale blockade of arms shipments to Israel. He recalls that in the 1970s, his father, also a dockworker, joined a humanitarian flotilla to Vietnam to break the U.S. blockade.

The Israeli security establishment announced it will not allow the vessel to approach or dock and break its starvation siege. If the ship continues toward Gaza, the Israeli Navy is expected to intercept it — with possible scenarios including towing it to the port of Ashdod and detaining the activists on board.
