A visit to Scarborough in the 1960s.

The number plate on the Hillman Minx would be worth a few quid today, it doesn't appear to survive.

A lot of these videos sadden me because I realise how much things have changed and how much we’ve lost

Looks like a lovely town and very historic, Britain's first "Resort Town". It's worth reading up on and visiting. Early enlistment was helped in WWI by the German Navy's bombardment of the defenseless town on Dec 16, 1914.

@david_hemond My family lived in England in the early 70s and I remember strolling along eating fish and chips (with vinegar) when we took a day trip to Scarborough 🙂.

Just like it was in The Royal

People did love a thermos brew in those days 😀

Is it a Singer, Humber or Hillman?

Hillman Minx. Off we go. Hey mum could I have cheese sarnie! Only if your a good boy Arnold.

Here’s Afghanistan

My favourite holiday place, been going there since 1967.
