space is an observation time is an observation so curving it makes no sense oh, and gravity is an observation what makes more logical sense? all matter are patterns within the same fabric of reality, and the rate of change is c.

A good visual, but I still don't know what space-time actually is. Nobody really does. What's it made of? What exactly is bending or "curving"?

Gravity curves spacetime? I think the current understanding is mass curves spacetime, and that curvature of spacetime creates a semblance of gravity. In other words, there is no “gravitational force” that pulls. Rather the spacetime curvature creates that appears to be a pull as smaller objects move down hill along the curvature. No?

Unfortunately, gravity cannot curve spacetime as gravity and “spacetime” are both 100% emergent. ;) Happy hunting!

You do know we are in space now... Show me the curve....of space, just like sunlight it comes from mass! We are on a planet flying through a void... Space and time... spacetime... is a place not a curve.... ONLY MASS CURVES! space doesn't do a thing... time is just one second per second. Where there's no mass, then there's no curvature. No matter where you go, space is right next too you! Go in the closet and turn off the lights.. fill the closet with gold.. it's still a closet... without a bend in sight! You can't get nothing from nothing... mass is rare and not in every place. Mass is first order before light!

I’m glad someone finally made a 3d model rather than using a flat surface but… this is still incorrect and wouldn’t make sense without using gravity to explain gravity. It’s really just the opposite with mass DISPLACING spacetime, not drawing it in. Gravity is warp effect.

Very cool! Now shouldn't we see the lines bend further out so as to show why the moon keeps orbiting earth?

Spacetime is a math model. What is gravity? What is curvature? Math calculations? Time is simply the change of configuration of space and matter. It does not exist as a dimension, only a notation of change. The spacetime idea has caused so much confusion.

Time doesn't exist. The mathematics of the universe is change. Time is a human invention, a means of observing change.

This video only shows the spatial aspect of the curvature. The temporal aspect, which is what actually causes the gravitational attraction effect, is not shown. In any case, it's a good video and helps beginners understand it.

There's something deeply humbling about this image. For thousands of years humans looked up at the planets moving across the sky and assumed invisible forces were pushing and pulling them. Einstein showed us the truth was stranger and more beautiful that massive objects don't reach out and grab each other. They simply reshape the space between them, and everything else follows. Gravity isn't a force. It's the shape of the universe responding to what's inside it.

Not right. Objects take the place of space, and technically push space out...Denser object, puuh/clean space better, resulting in more space pushed out, which in turn will push more space out. When you see light behind galaxies, no image will ever show light crating those lines

You should be able to replicate orbit in space ising a bowling ball and a piece of popcorn. But it doesn’t work does it?
