A whistleblower from the BOM has come forward to criticise its managing director Mr Johnson over his poor leadership. He has blew the whistle on his behaviour including his views which include: “He has openly questioned why anyone with a life would watch Senate estimates. He sees these as... an opportunity for Senators to big note themselves and hopefully get a sound bite on radio or TV.” ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oversight of the Bureau of Meteorology is extremely important as it is responsible for reporting weather records. It should not however amend prior records and then mislead the public into believing the fudged records are the real ones. Had someone said to me years ago that it would be necessary to pull up our government for telling lies about our historical weather records I would never have believed them. Yet here we are. A government agency creating new records so it can push climate change lies onto the people of Australia. Billions of dollars are being wasted on renewables because of these lies. And with an attitude like that of the managing director it’s no wonder we need to drain the Billabong. #auspolshow more

Question time is the house of reps is a waste of time in my opinion and there should be more time spent on this type of questioning. If the BOM has corrupted the weather records why aren't people sacked?

It would be logical to have a discussion on them. Parliament is supposed to be the place where we can ventilate the voice of the people, the concerns of the people. Once we do that, we all know the government has a majority. As the old saying goes, the Opposition must have its say because the government will have its way. They have the majority. But at least let parliament be a forum where these concerns can be heard, can be truly ventilated and voiced, where various people can represent the views of their constituents. Then the government can disagree. But right now, just refusing a discussion is what has led to today's disruption because the opposition wanted these issues up there, wanted an opportunity to talk about them on the floor of the house. If Parliament is not for raising these issues, then honestly, what is it for? I mean, it can't just be a sort of notice board for the government to announce its bills and get them passed with a rubber stamp. That's not what Parliament is all about. It should be a forum where all these views can be heard, discussed, debated as necessary and then passed. The Prime Minister has sought cooperation from the opposition. During this Estimates session with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water of Australia (DCCEEW), I questioned the government on two issues: secretive appointments that erode trust and climate claims without evidence. I quoted Gabrielle Appleby, a constitutional law professor and director of the Centre for Public Integrity, and asked the Minister a simple question: what impact has Mr Kaiser’s appointment had on morale within the department? The Minister assured me he has “absolute confidence” in Mr Kaiser and claimed there’s no evidence of a negative effect on morale. I moved on — however noted that he left out some aspects of Mr Kaiser’s background. I went on to ask Minister Watt a simple, direct question: You claim we are facing "drier and warmer" summers — where is the specific data to back that up? Instead of providing a source, Minister Watt resorted to his usual script. He tried to laugh it off as a "conspiracy" and claimed I simply "refuse to believe" the experts. If the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO have the data, why is it so hard for Minister Watt to produce it? I won't be put off by snide remarks. I will keep asking the same question until the Australian people get the transparency they deserve. We cannot base massive economic policies on feelings and forecasts that no one is willing to defend with data.

"The role of a news organization is to give the public the information it needs and deserves to know so that they can govern themselves," he said. The records I obtained don’t just prove he was paid, but that his “interviews” are not organic. He is a used, coached puppet by the left with little to zero original thought. Every question is scripted, coached and timed. And when Sisson wanted to ask his own questions, he had to receive approval from Shapiro’s staff. This reveal was received with outrage from the left and right alike. As you can see in a video screen of Harry’s live, he desperately attempted to discredit my report. My records also revealed that there are serious legal implications to how Sisson and many other influencers are operating. The courts have upheld disclosure laws over and over again. It is clear to me that he and his team do not want the American people to really see whether or not he actually is fit to do the job of being President of the United States

So they appealed it Tyler Robinson’s attorney sent a letter to support denying the security request (WHAT?!?) “We appealed that petition and started the process to go before the state's new government records office. That's all pretty typical for public records requests, but then we got another letter. This one, no one take. It was a letter from Tyler Robinson and his attorneys in support to deny the release of the security plan in its 12 pages. It is very clear that we are poorly served by a growing class of arrogant and out of touch politicians, and Bowen is their mascot. Our politicians forget themselves. They forget that we don’t answer to them - They answer to us. They don’t pay us - We pay them. Chris Bowen has broken just about every promise that he has made. Industry is furious, electricity users are furious, and now motorists are furious. They promised that power bills would come down. Instead, power bills have gone up, while at the same time industry continues its exodus. The government is propping up a select few corporations with tax dollars and even taking over some directly. That is not the sign of a healthy energy market, or sustainable industry. It is not the sign of success that Bowen needs to maintain a modicum of credibility. So, Liam Bartlett calls him out, asks him real questions that cut to the viability of Bowen’s solutions to our real energy problems. But instead of answering Bartlett’s questions, the Minister responsible for the broken promises chooses instead to attack the journalist. Liam Bartlett is finally asking the questions that need to be asked. He is not just smiling and curtseying to the press corps - he is doing his job. Bowen shows us the answers, not by the words he says, but what he doesn’t say. It begs further questions. For me they are; Who does Bowen think he is? Followed closely by, who does he think he answers to? The answers are as obvious as the lack of answers he provides about our energy future. If it wasn’t so important, it wouldn’t really matter. But on a large and isolated continent like Australia, energy security is our life blood. Without an abundance of cheap and reliable energy, we will starve. Bowen might think his primary role is curating the swooning reporters he likes, but we all know that it is not his job. He answers to us. If he finds the questions uncomfortable, too bad. If the press required him to explain the truth of the storm we are really in - a storm that has been brewing for decades and is now spiraling out of control in front of us - then so be it. We can’t fix what we can’t see. Bowen must level with us. If he can’t fix the problems, get out of the way for somebody who can. Bowen should sit down with Liam Bartlett, and respectfully answer his questions. The people of Australia deserve nothing less. I just want Australia back.

I know that's normally the play for a lot of people when tough conversations come up, so I wouldn't put it past other people, Senator, to have that conversation and try to make it about that. But I would say to you, this is about making public records accessible to the general public. I find it to be very opportunistic to try to drag in the Trump administration to a conversation about public records reform and not have the same concern about other agencies and entities across this commonwealth.
