Ngl each to their own but im not sad to see this go the battle royal trend was and is a parasite on the shooter genre It seems like were moving on to extraction shooters but so many good games were curb stomped because devs wanted to make another battle royal game for trends sake

Don't mind that the BR element is gone, all I really used to do was hide, the controls were bad, it was unbalanced and there was cheaters BUT... I do miss the unique environment. The whole of Morgantown etc. on fire was so cool. We should get to revisit that through a simulation.

I can understand that but I wish they would put that same level of creativity or additional content into literally anything other than battle royal or extraction shooters but to be fair I would have rather had a 4 player co-op fallout that was more like mainline fallout games

One of my favorite short lived battle royales. The rewards from the seasons were pretty cool also. Too bad I missed out after like season 2. Amazing gamemode I still sometimes find myself trying to look for it in the menu

I miss NW so much, me and my friends would have so much fun playing that as our first battle royale before we went to Fortnite after it went away

My friend and I unironically liked this mode a lot lol, and only started getting into it right around when they removed it 😩

Played a few matches before it got taken away, just enough to get the pennant 😢 wish I had played more when I had the chance

Nuclear Winter and, oddly enough, empty NPCless Appalachia where definitely a vibe I wish to revisit. Old Appalachia I wish we could experience with all the quality of life changes we have now just because I love that desolate empty feel.

There was actually no real reason for them to shut down nuclear winter, they had a large enough player base to keep it up. It's moreso that Bethesda is full of lazy hacks that hastily slap together code that easily breaks down, so they wouldn't be able to keep private servers up.

The concept was there but the performance was shyte

I wanted to try it and never got a chance
