The idea is to see if Taylor will interact with another human, and the apes clearly intend it as “mating behavior” observation. It’s awkward and uncomfortable for Taylor. Nova is feral, doesn’t speak, and he’s disgusted and frustrated by the situation. He yells at the apes watching him, calling it dehumanizing. He doesn’t get intimate with her there.
