People can keep hating me all they want about Caitlin Clark and I don't care. I like her but she is never going to win a championship the way she plays, she just isn't. If Indy gonna be even sorta successful, they need a team to build around Caitlin specifically. Her as the PG don't work cause she wants to shoot all the time. They need to trade Kelsey anywhere to get her out of there cause she not appreciated, let Raven Johnson play point, direct traffic, get Caitlin open looks and either make AB work more in the paint and play defense, or trade her for someone who will and that's really all they need. Get a new head coach, whoever you think gonna help I don't care who it is, pick your poison. The GM can do it for all I care. It's not gonna win her any championships until she learns to be a team player. It didn't win her one in Iowa, and it's not gonna win her one in Indy

I think I would have handled it differently. Start out by complementing your players for an honest attempt at winning. Then say, "I'm going to stop substituting every few minutes. I'll put the best squad on the floor and hope they come alive. If they get in the groove we'll win"

All season long we've seen signs of White wanting to make Caitlin Clark heel. White is a magical coach because she's somehow managed to take a team if solid players and make most of them virtually disappear. AB, Billings, Johnson, Hull and others are all lesser players than they were when they got to the fever. So many players play with less confidence than they did before. This is what humbling players accomplishes. And yet none of her players know where to be on the court, they're far to often it if position and confused. That's poor coaching, and the coach cannot admit it. I hope Caitlin Clark never comes to heel in Stephanie whites failed system.

What SW is talking about is humility. Raven Johnson already has won a championship in college she understands that she has to listen to the coach. All the players that returned from last year learned to play the coach way & had success. Caitlin Clark still doesn't get it.

CC is trying to be bigger than the team. She needs to run the actual offense like they did all 1st quarter. Once she went off script shit got ugly. These ladies noticed that and it threw them out of whack mentally. It was over middle second quarter, they were all checked out.

She said it was the turnovers and needless fouls. 28 points off turnovers. That is what an inexperience gets you, a lack of understanding that each possession matters so you MUST protect the ball. Clarke has never learned that lesson despite being humbled in HS and College.

There's nothing wrong with saying A'ja Wilson had the game of her life and we are gonna come back with a better plan against her. Sometimes people step up, and Wilson did (she got a lot of calls her way, but that did not make her shot go in.)
