Tyrann Mathieu says Patrick Peterson helped him pay his rent one month while in college together at LSU, but with a condition, he would work so hard he would never have to ask for help again “I remember I called you. It was like a month before we went to camp. I said, ‘Big bro, I don’t know how I’m going to pay the rent this year.’ “That’s a common story with young players. They think they’ve got money that they don’t necessarily have, so they spend a certain way. It was just a hard lesson. “I remember you came down, you had the Chase envelope in your hand, and you gave me more than what I needed. But I remember what you told me before you walked back inside. You looked me in my eye and said, ‘Bro, this is the last time.’ “That stuck with me like 12 years later. Even though you were hard on me, you made me accountable. You knew what I needed.” Patrick Peterson: “And I’m hard on you, right? But I wanted so much of you, and I knew what it was going to take to get that out of you so you could see it. Because I used to tell you this, when I was growing up, I saw so many guys with crazy athletic ability, but they wasted it. “I didn’t want you to waste what you got. You were special. So therefore, I’m going to give you everything that I can to make you the best player and person that you are. “Going back to when you say I was hard on you, to this day, that’s what my girls tell me. ‘Daddy, you’re so hard on us.’ But then when we have Thanksgiving or Father’s Day, they appreciate it. “That’s my job. I know it may be mundane or you don’t feel like listening to it right now, but that’s my job, to see around the corner before you get there. To guide you through certain things, help you make better decisions, or help you maybe think differently. That’s my job.”

Pay Attention To This, This Is Serious REPORT “43% of all small business owners in this country either could not pay their rent in full or could not pay their rent at all in the month of April 2024” Small businesses make up 44% of this country's GDP This is REAL Bidenomics, America is barely hanging on “When you've got almost 50%, you've got a sector of this country's economy that produces almost 50% of the gross domestic product can't even pay their rent. Is this going to be the sign to get you to wake up and understand that we are in a recession?“ “No matter what politician wants to write Miriam Webster and tell him, hey rewrite this definition, even by the new terms we are in a recession. And what's coming next is going to make 2008 look like a joke.” — “I'd stay prepared. I'm not trying to go super doom and gloom on you, but if this whole thing goes bad really fast, the economy takes a hit, things keep going with bricks the way they're going, cash will still get you by for a period of time. If you're not paying attention to this situation, I think you probably should. You should probably put this on your radar. I know that there's a hundred things going on all the time. This is just how things happen. Gotta keep you chasing your tail. They cannot give you enough time to adequately do enough research to be properly educated on an issue. And God forbid they cannot let you catch a break and get your breath about you. They gotta wind you out and keep you exhausted. So, you know, to each his own, whatever you think is important, what's going to affect you and your family the worst or the hardest, stay focused on that. But I sincerely think that this is an issue that more people need to be concerned with. And even if you just mildly monitor the situation, I think it should be on your radar.

.Nathaniel E Burleson: “Your parents were there, your husband was there, your daughter to support you on Saturday. What was it like being rushed off the stage? Being backstage while they were still out there and waiting?” Weijia Jiang: “Nate, it was terrible. You’re right. I was wearing many hats, chief among them, mother and daughter and wife, and so when I went in the back and I could see the monitors of the crowd, I immediately looked for them in their table, and I was asking, anybody who would hear me, what happened? Is anybody hurt? Is there a threat? Is there someone in the ballroom? And, you know, it was almost like I was just talking to myself, but begging for answers, not only for me, but for everyone in the room who I wanted to get answers for. But that was a very difficult additional layer, obviously, because my family was right there, and I wanted to make sure that they were safe. That’s how everybody felt in the room, and at the same time, I had a duty as head of the Association to try to provide a sense of calm, to make sure there wasn’t panic in the time.” Gayle King: “Weija, you did that very well. I know Frankie is only seven. How did you explain this to her? Briefly, what did you tell her? Because they must have been terrified watching you rush off the stage that way.” Major Garrett Garrett: Yes.” King: “Your mom is on her knees. Yes.” Jiang: “Yes, she was very scared. But, you know, we had a few conversations about how most of the people in this world, almost everybody in this world, are good people, and when there are bad people, there are also police and law enforcement and people there to keep us safe, which is exactly what happened, and we are deeply, deeply grateful for all of those men and women in uniform who did keep us safe and put their lives on the line to make sure almost 3,000 people in that ballroom went home that night.” Burleson: “Well said, Weijia.” Garrett: “Weijia, nobody could have done it better than you. Thank you.”
