the problem, matt, is that it feels like you're treating eddsworld more as a brand and trademark than a passion project

Banning mass-produced merchandise is one thing, but banning edits and YTPs and fanmade content?????? Are you deliberately trying to kill off your franchise lol

I feel like this whole thing got blown out of proportion, it was pretty obvious Eddsworld isn’t gonna go after every individual creator, just people/groups making a lot of sales off something that directly competes with existing merch it’s not like they have Nintendo lawyers

Imagine this: You go to a local convention, and they only have funko pops and overpriced resale merch. That is what it would be like if smaller artists didn’t exist, fans would barely be able to express themselves, and communities of fans would fall apart. This is way overboard.

Hello! Not at all here to disagree with you because your project your copyright your rules its literally all down to you, but, isn't eddsworld over 10 years old? And have you been clear with these rules from the very start? It's very hard to enforce such rules after 10+ years

This is genuienly disgusting to me. You’re taking away the one thing that still holds this damn community together. You need to do better. This is genuinely not what was supposed to become of this series. You’re money hungry. You don’t care about your friend’s series. Or US.

LOVE THIS! I completely agree! However I still think that people should be able to make creditable content, not claiming the characters but making their own content. There are plenty of people who love EddsWorld and love making fan art and fan stories about it!

If your doing this, will you make merch more affordable for people outside the uk? I understand the cost of shipping fee’s and packaging can be pretty high but when making limited merch the cost twice of what many can’t afford, it can be really upsetting
