Sorry, but it looks really bad. AI is just not there yet to be directed in any semblance of anything that is not laughable. Will it get there? probably but your trailer looks like every other AI video released, which is to say really really obviously ai generated imagery.

Make sure you watch til the end! I had to sneak in at least one shot with Runway's new last-frame tool. That's the power of these AI films; you can edit them up to release within minutes. I used many different AI tools to bring this vision to life and I can geek out in the notes if anyone is interested. A few top of mind were Runway Gen 3, Midjourney 6.1, Kling AI, and Luma Dream Machine. I wanted vampires on the moon, and dammit, I got my vampires on the moon! Cheers!

NIGHTBORNE is the first full test AI film I have made. It was made using Seedance 2.0. I've been experimenting with AI for a couple of years, and it's now at the point where I want to tackle a full feature in this format. This is a 13-minute test start. It was made with real concept artists, and features the faces and voices of 32 real people. Barley Studios will be my new AI studio for creating my own films, the way Oats Studios was for traditional film and VFX. Barley studios Full film in the reply.

Over the past several months I have grappled with religion. I have been agnostic my entire adult life. At 14 I left god behind and became a militant atheist, arguing online about religion. As I got older, I stopped caring - I stopped using the word “atheist” and began using the word “agnostic” as I began to believe again in something higher. This year I took two trips to the holy land, and encountered two near impossible coincidences that brought me even closer. When Charlie was murdered I went to Church for the first time in my adult life. I began praying again. I spoke with my Christian friends, and about a week ago I prayed and accepted Jesus. I repented for denying him, and since I have prayed almost every night before I have gone to sleep. This video was filmed the day after I began praying again. I’ve also began working on remolding my life into one that more closely reflects what I believe god would want. I am not a biblical expert - and I haven’t read most of the verses. That’s the next step, I have however seen the verses that I do know come to life in the places they happened when I went to Israel.

AI can give actors jobs, not replace them. Many years ago, I was lucky to work on the LucasArts game "Full Throttle" by TimOfLegend. I worked on the opening cinematic (back then called cutscenes!), and it was always one of my favorite games of that era, and the one I felt had the most potential to be a film. It felt like a movie. A few weeks ago, I had an idea for a new FilmSpark.ai demo: a biker bar scene. Then I said, "Hey, let's make it the bar from Full Throttle!" Just for fun. That's when I was pointed to the Peter screenplay for Full Throttle. It was cool to see someone else thought this had film potential too. After reading the screenplay, and seeing how he kept the opening cinematic mainly intact, we decided to make a proof-of-concept AI teaser, recreating the opening cinematic as accurately as we could. We used the original audio for authenticity. Hamilton Camp's Corley felt a little cartoonish on the AI character, which was weird but cool. Mark Hamill's Ripburger worked even better. Our goal is something becoming very common in Hollywood right now: using AI to create a sizzle trailer to get a film funded. Think of it as the new graphic novel. We want to use AI to get a film greenlit with real actors, shot on location, and use AI for VFX as needed. To be clear, we are not advocating for an "AI Full Throttle film." This is one way Hollywood is using AI, behind the scenes.

Because you know at that time everybody needed a diploma. It was communist time, if you wanted to be a filmmaker you had to study in the official film school. But first I made a movie (laughs). Interviewer: Did you suffer from censorship? Tarr: I think censorship is always there. Then it was the censorship of the state and now it’s the censorship of the market. Some differences but . . . Interviewer: Otar Iosseliani, the Georgian director, was telling me the same, that the censorship of the big audience is worse that the censorship of the state, because you only get money for movies made for the big audience. Tarr: Yes, he is right. Because during the communist area you knew you had to make some tricks here and there, like a snake, and if you were very fast and you had some good ideas, you could do it. I really did what I wanted. We had a lot of difficulties, but finally we could make the movies." I can’t believe it’s finally album release week!!! 😭😭😭😭🍾🍾🍾🍾 Shooting this short film was one of the coolest most enlightening experiences ever for me. I didn’t think I could do 9-9 days 4 days in a row..but I did and it was invigorating and really just gave me a glimpse of my potential.
