When a young boy can articulate what took me decades to understand and appreciate, I sit up and listen. At his age, I was more concerned with whether I’d be getting a Cabbage Patch doll for Christmas.

Sayyed Nasrallah’s longtime bodyguard and companion, Abu Ali: “What i wasn’t blessed with was that I wasn’t with Sayyed Nasrallah at the time of his martyrdom. God blessed me that, since i was young, i was at his service. Throughout his life, before he was a secretary general, i was at his service, and after he became secretary general, i was at his service. At the moment of his martyrdom, to his body being washed, to his temporary burial, until his final resting place, i was at his service.”
