Aaron Rodgers' MVP comments underscore the long-running narrative that Rodgers is a me-first QB who cares more about protecting his stats than winning Super Bowls. Whether that's true or not, he made it easy to criticize. I explain on today's Locked on Packers

@lockedonpackers He said right before that he wants to play somewhere he feels has a good chance to compete for a title. People are blowing the mvp comment out of proportion

@lockedonpackers Watch the video please

@lockedonpackers Peter I watched your video and I agree that he may be a bit too focused on individual achievements but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about another super bowl. Like you said it is a bit concerning that he seems to think individually.

@lockedonpackers No one ever said he doesn't care about Super Bowls.

@lockedonpackers I know you’ve made the case for trading Rodgers and going to Love, and I know that’s what you want to happen. What do you think will happen though? Do the packers have the balls to tell him moving on is better for the organizations future?

@lockedonpackers I don't know if they have the fortitude to do it, but I do think they see Rodgers back as the best situation under the right circumstances. The question is does Rodgers agree to those circumstances?

@lockedonpackers Rodgers is going to force them to bring back guys like Lewis, Cobb, and Tonyan that they otherwise have no interest in keeping. If they lose Lazard, which I think they will, he will pressure them to go get a receiver.

@lockedonpackers

@lockedonpackers Why ignore the other 99% of the interview where he talked about wanting to win, not wanting to rebuild he wants to play for a Superbowl and that was emphasized and repeated throughout. He doesn't want to come back unless they are competing to win it all

@lockedonpackers This you hearing what you want to hear, and then furthering a narrative with it. I'm ready to move on to Love too, and I think there is a lot of criticism that can be laid at Rodgers' feet...but this is feels like a weird witch hunt.

@lockedonpackers If we ignore most of the interview and instead focus on the media snippet narrative, it’s easy to criticize.

@lockedonpackers

@lockedonpackers

@lockedonpackers Just because you claimed you “watched the whole interview” doesn’t mean you “actually listened” to what Rodgers was saying. It is really easy to just take a small sound bite and run a narrative off of it for clicks. It is literally what the media does every single day.

@lockedonpackers I give you credit. You have a talent for pissing off every fan base in the NFC north.

@lockedonpackers Another bad take by on Rodgers who know nothing about the guy if he came out and hey I want to win another ring you would simply say why not win two more before you retire Rodgers can’t say or do anything without people like you hating what he says or does your a hater

@lockedonpackers A 9 minute video to still be wrong is crazy😭 can never let it go can you?

@lockedonpackers Isn’t playing at an MVP level equating to giving us our best odds at going to a SB? We clearly aren’t getting to a SB by him playing the way he did this year with very little help around him. Once again you’re taking something he said and making it fit your narrative. Shocker

@lockedonpackers How I picture Peter Buk

@lockedonpackers Peter da clown

@lockedonpackers You’re such a hateful little nerd. It’s like if Skip had a kid with Rex Chapman and they feed it nothing but paint chips.

@lockedonpackers Did u listen to the interview ? He’s talking about playing at an elite level & winning an mvp. Aaron jones fumbling in the last 3 biggest games & gets a pass. Last year gb was driving to take a 2 score lead vs sf b4 blizzard. Vs tb. Last week vs det flipped the game

@lockedonpackers Peter knows now that 🏈 is over with, he’s irrelevant. He’s salivating at this whole AR situation. Any opportunity he can cling to, he’s gonna take it. I’ve never seen anything more blown out of proportion than this. All from click hungry nuts using AR’s name to their benefit.

@lockedonpackers How do you get ratio’d on every comment lol

@lockedonpackers Honestly as soon as I saw his contact details last year I knew this was gonna be horrible. Never gonna tell a dude to take less money but after all the brady comparisons and 3 years in a row of not getting over the hump; you really couldn’t take 25 a year

@lockedonpackers Lol so you’re blaming him because you were seeking attention and grabbed into the headline instead of what he said which was to a question that was asked? This is sad, even for you. Do better.

@lockedonpackers So me personally don’t have problem with what he said or how he said it have a question to make a super bowl run as a qb you would have be playing at mvp level ? So to me he has be playing at mvp level to even have chance to reach that super bowl

@lockedonpackers Everything you post gets ratiod - yet you think you have actual fans

@lockedonpackers Picking and choosing again 😂

@lockedonpackers You’re choosing to nitpick what he said. And I sincerely don’t think that’s who you are and love your podcast, but vehemently disagree with you on these comments.

@lockedonpackers Bukowski over-analysing every word Rodgers says

@lockedonpackers You know he mentioned wanting to win another championship for the 90 seconds before that comment right? Most dishonest guy in packers media

@lockedonpackers You take everything out of context! Just say you hate the man you fucking 🤡

@lockedonpackers And you made it easy to criticize you for cherry picking his comments, showing you operate using click bait.

@lockedonpackers If you watch the video, you'll see I address the parts of the interview so many people think is so much more important (even though it's not)

@lockedonpackers I understand. The wording of the tweet led me down another path of thought.

@lockedonpackers Peter is trying to get clicks but spreading hateful rhetorics about Rodgers

@lockedonpackers Here’s my rant on this MVP comment controversy

@lockedonpackers “I don’t care” but I’m going to make a 8:30 minute video explaining why I do care and you should listen to me because I don’t play in the NFL nor throw touchdowns… 🤔 relax, eat a snickers #gopackgo

@lockedonpackers You’re a baby back bitch @Peter_Bukowski

@lockedonpackers Have you not memtioned on the Pod if Rodgers was playing at an MVP level this year or Last year vs SanFran or the year before vs TB they would have been in the superbowl. So Rodgers at MVPin big games =superbowl

@lockedonpackers 🤡
