🚨AAVE FOUNDER: STOP TINKERING WITH STAKING, ETHEREUM’S REAL PROBLEMS ARE ELSEWHERE! Aave founder Stani says Ethereum shouldn’t waste focus gaming staking issuance or cutting rewards. That’s not the core issue. The network is still unfinished for real finance. Protocol priorities must be privacy, scalability and security, with actual breakthroughs....

New Podcast with Aave founder Stani.eth just dropped: Aave is at a turning point - will the new proposal lead to innovation or chaos? Aave is navigating a pivotal moment with the recent "Aave will win" proposal. This initiative aims to redirect 100% of protocol revenue back to the Aave DAO, a move that many in the community have embraced. But with any major change comes scrutiny. Critics are questioning the governance structure, suggesting that Aave Labs may have too much influence. Stani Kulechov addresses these concerns, clarifying that no votes from Aave Labs swayed the outcome. Stani also discussed the 'Hub and Spoke' architecture of Aave V4, explaining how it will solve liquidity bootstrapping for developers and pave the way for Real World Assets (RWAs) like solar farms and GPUs. It’s clear that Aave is focused on growth and innovation. But will it be enough to keep Aave competitive in the evolving DeFi landscape? 👉 Watch the full interview below

Everyone's watching #Bitcoin and #altcoins bleed and calling crypto dead. Stani Kulechov looked at what actually happened and saw the opposite: "DeFi is this machinery that just keeps working in the background, regardless of market cycles." Stani Kulechov (Stani) is the founder of Aave and one of the people who built decentralized finance into what it is today. He joined me to explain why, while everyone was distracted, DeFi quietly grew up: "We went from DeFi is experimentation, to DeFi protocols are the future, to DeFi protocols are making revenue. We did almost 150 million in net revenue." We cover: - Why DeFi survived the crash: hundreds of millions in liquidations processed transparently, in minutes, while the protocols kept generating revenue - Why in five years we won't call it DeFi anymore; "it's going to be on-chain finance, or just finance" - When banks start using DeFi themselves, and why every new entry point deepens liquidity for everyone - Why #Ethereum is lagging: the L2 scaling choice, the trilemma, and the privacy layer it still needs before institutions arrive - Why governments have no incentive to protect your privacy, "it helps them stay in control" - Financing abundance: how tokenizing real-world assets could fund energy, compute and robotics the way JP Morgan once funded the railroads Thanks to Stani for coming on New Era Finance Podcast. THE $250k $ETH THESIS "There’s 100x in it." Vivek of Etherealize says Ethereum is better money than Bitcoin. Gold-like, but with staking yield. A call option on money itself. A monetary asset plus the settlement layer for tokenized finance, stablecoins, DeFi, institutions and trillions in RWAs. Gold has no yield. Bitcoin has no native yield. ETH secures the network and earns staking yield. Institutions on $ETH vs $SOL: "To be completely frank, Solana never comes up"

Tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) is one of the most transformative developments in finance and blockchain. Traditionally illiquid assets such as real estate, private equity, commodities, and art are digitized into blockchain-based tokens, enabling fractional ownership, greater liquidity, global accessibility, enhanced transparency, and efficient trading without intermediaries. Experts (incl. BlackRock) see tokenized RWAs as a multi-trillion-dollar shift. Projections range from hundreds of billions to trillions in coming years, driven by institutional adoption, clearer regulation, and scaling from pilots to production. Enter Realio Network ( a leading player built specifically to capture this RWA revolution. Realio Network’s Cutting-Edge Technology Realio Network is an interoperable Layer-1 blockchain developed using the Cosmos SDK, with full EVM compatibility (allowing Ethereum-style smart contracts) and powered by the Comet BFT (formerly Tendermint) consensus engine. It features a unique native multi-staking Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism, the first of its kind, that secures the network not just with its native token but also with real-world value through staking of tokenized RWAs and hybrid security tokens. As a multi-chain ecosystem, Realio leverages the IBC protocol for seamless interoperability across EVM and non-EVM chains (like Ethereum, Algorand, Binance Smart Chain, Solana and Base - bridges), enabling compliant issuance, management, and trading of digitally native RWAs. It’s open-source, permissionless, and compliance-focused, bridging traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi) while reducing barriers for issuers and investors. The $RIO Token: The Heart of the Network $RIO is the native gas and utility token of the Realio Network. It powers all transactions on the chain paying for gas fees, executing smart contracts, and facilitating operations across the ecosystem. Validators and delegators can bond $RIO (along with other assets like security tokens) to secure the network and earn block rewards, creating a system backed by both crypto and real-world value. With a capped supply of 175million total, depending on sources and multi-chain presence, $RIO drives governance participation, staking rewards, and overall network utility. It’s purely a utility token (not an investment in the entity), with value driven by network adoption and speculation always DYOR. Realio isn’t just infrastructure it’s building a full ecosystem for RWAs. Starting with Freehold Wallet This non-custodial, multi-chain DeFi wallet app is built directly on Realio’s blockchain infrastructure. It offers secure management of digital assets across chains, portfolio analytics, staking, and investment tools with a beginner-friendly mobile experience (available on iOS). Freehold empowers users to access and interact with RWAs seamlessly, and it enables anyone to tokenize any RWAs on the Realio Network Layer-1 blockchain, lowering barriers for creators and issuers to bring real-world assets on-chain. Districts A real-world-themed immersive virtual world that connects physical and digital realities. Users can own tokenized districts (RWAs) and shape the virtual world. Built on Realio Layer-1 with its own token $DSTRX “Own a piece of the digital world. Shape its future. Build your legacy.” Adding $RST: Hybrid Equity & Security Token $RST is a pioneering hybrid digital security token in the Realio ecosystem. Issued under Reg D/S, it gives holders real equity ownership and profit-sharing in Realio Technology LTD (the entity behind the network’s IP and development), plus blockchain utility features. Realio Network leads the RWA boom with strong tech, $RIO utility token, and tools like Freehold + visionary Districts project. Aave throws off $134 million in revenue a year" "Kraken is in talks to buy a 15% stake in DeFi lender Aave at a $385 million valuation. The founder Stani Kulechov is pushing back saying that valuation is inaccurate. Kraken denies selling Aave at a 70% discount, which is what this would be" "It's about a $71 million deal, the first under a new Payward Asset Management arm ahead of Kraken's expected IPO. This is a big deal for Kraken because they're expanding their market and their business. But Aave is a very robust business and this would be an extremely low valuation" "The real story here is that DeFi is back, baby. Aave was the secondary victim of all the DeFi hacks we saw because they ended up with toxic collateral. Now DeFi interest is back and we're seeing huge targets and huge interest in investing in the blue chip protocols"

🎙️New pod just dropped! I sit down with my old friend Stani, Founder of Aave Labs, to deep dive into Aave v4 and its biggest updates compared to v3. This is Ep. 1 of a new series where I analyze the evolving architecture of onchain lending markets and their impact on DeFi. Just as onchain spot trading evolved from p2p models like EtherDelta to pooled AMMs like Uniswap v2—and now to modular designs like Uniswap v4, built as lower-level protocols for sophisticated actors to run custom strategies without fragmenting liquidity—lending is following a similar path. ETHLend struggled to scale its p2p fixed-rate lending approach and lacked sophisticated actors building on top of the protocol to abstract this complexity. Aave v1 introduced pooled liquidity, making it easier for retail users to borrow and lend using the same strategy dictated by the Aave DAO. Now, Aave v4 marks a new phase: a modular hub-and-spoke design for deploying bespoke credit markets. 🧩 Hubs = Capital allocators that determine rates & provide credit lines 🛠️ Spokes = isolated, configurable lending strategies that draw capital from a Hub Use cases range from RWAs to fixed-rate credit to looped LP vaults (e.g., strategies pioneered by Arrakis on Uniswap v3 + MakerDAO). Critically, Aave evolves from a vertically integrated DAO—the sole allocator of protocol capital—into a permissionless platform where institutions (e.g., BlackRock) and DAOs can co-allocate capital alongside Aave itself. This is the beginning of a modular credit layer for all of DeFi. 🎧 Listen here: 📺 Watch here: 📖 Aave v4 proposal:

Kyle Reidhead explains why privacy being inevitable doesn’t make him bullish on Zcash “I’m not bullish on Zcash at all. I think privacy is important, don’t get me wrong, but that’s obvious. This isn’t a narrative. It’s just the basics of finance for most cases, it should probably be private.” “The problem with Zcash is there are no financial services. It’s basically just Bitcoin, which is great, it’s a thing that you hold. But why do we need that to be private? What we want private is DeFi on Ethereum, because we can’t have BlackRock come in, start using Aave, and have everyone read everything they’re doing onchain.”

Almost three and a half years ago we started Kintsu with a pretty simple belief: moving finance onchain shouldn’t mean giving up privacy. Your brokerage account isn’t public today. There’s no reason it should become public just because stocks, treasuries, and other assets become programmable smart contracts. We started with liquid staking. Since then, the vision for Kintsu has grown into something much broader: composable privacy-preserving lending, curated vaults, staking, spanning both crypto and capital markets. That’s what makes Canton Network so interesting to me. For the first time, major asset issuers across equities, treasuries, stablecoins, and crypto are beginning to coalesce onchain, with privacy built into the architecture. We put together this visual to show how it all fits together in Kintsu. Composability, visualized. Any asset, its own market. Any strategy, its own vault. Probably the clearest look yet at what we’ve spent much of 2026 building. Soon we'll open up a private beta, couldn't be a better time to get involved.
