Aave v4 has just officially launched on the Ethereum mainnet. Setting aside the marketing hype, take one minute for an objective breakdown of what v4 actually changes.👇 1. Farewell to the fragmented "hub & spoke" architecture In previous DeFi lending, liquidity pools were isolated, resulting in extremely low capital efficiency. V4 consolidates all core assets into a single main hub, which then channels liquidity to targeted markets including Core, Prime and Plus. Liquidity is no longer fragmented but centrally coordinated. 2. Introduction of traditional finance-style risk premiums V4 implements genuine institutional-grade risk frameworks: using blue-chip collateral such as wETH and USDC grants lower borrowing costs, while holding volatile assets requires you to pay a clear risk premium. Collateral quality directly determines your cost of capital. 3. Institutional-grade terminal: Aave Pro The era of retail users jumping between pools to manage positions is over.
