🚨 ABC has announced 'SHAKEDOWN', their four-part Robodebt drama series based on Rick Morton's book 'Mean Streak', will premiere November 22. Starring Kate Box, Justine Clarke and Mandy McElhinney:

Always remember no bureaucrat will be harmed or held responsible for #Robodebt . That would lead to a precedent where in the future @albo or @SenatorWong might be held responsible for their actions.

@lukehgomes Oh gosh, didn’t know the book was being made into TV. The book is brilliant. I mean, Rick Morton did a brilliant job writing that book. I think I may have to watch this with hands over my eyes

This just makes me want to cry.

Justine Clarke Is Oomf

Do you think she’s ever mooched out?

The playschool to moochies pipeline is 100% who else has the time off in the morning to watch that shit. And abc is grandmother mooch btw too

That just made me burst into tears. Hearing all those familiar words that we all heard watching the RC each day.

Good. Never forget.

Tears. Already for Reece's mum.

they should've asked you to play yourself in all the court scenes

good

@YoiksAndAway Hope the nacc gets a jersey ?

Surely it would have been more realistic if they hacked have cast 1 person in 5 roles 😉

Who’s the poor cvnt who had to play ScoMoFo?

@lukehgomes I hope some credit has been given to @strangerous10 as well. The citizen reporting he did was outstanding.

@jommy_tee What a book that was … Australia’s equivalent scandal to UK’s Post Office coverup. Nasty. .

@mnxmoosi Oohhh…

Brilliant news Tom...

The book did something I consider essential in non fiction or historically based outcome. It made me desperately hope the outcome I knew had already happened wouldn't. Hope the show captures that element too.

About time. Let's hope they also address the current situation of what a failure NACC has been and is.

Brilliant. Thank you.

@jommy_tee Still have the newspaper article Rick wrote, headed Department of Inhumanity. This govt scandal, punching down on the vulnerable, still makes me so angry.

oh and we WILL be watching

#Seated

did anybody get sued for a robodebt?

This melodrama is a non-stop tear-jerker. 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 Listen to the soundtrack. It will have you in tears within ten minutes. 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 And the hysteria is really amped up in the last half-hour.

@BelindaJones68 Who is playing the role of Tanty Plebs or bully Shitten?

Wow.
