Chris Minns will jump through any hoop after albo, making NSW a mirror state to Federal Labour government and all he will achieve is voter insecurity and he will not get another term. No one in NSW state gov cares what NSW actually needs. Just another copy & paste premier.

🚨 Caravan-Gate Update. On 29 January this year we were told a caravan had been found on the outskirts of Sydney that contain explosives plus notes about planning for an anti-semitic terrorist attack. It was alarming news. It was reported internationally. Premier Minns wanted to be seen to be 'doing something' so he got the balling rolling on new laws to restrict what you can say and even think in NSW (terrorists of course will cease terrorising if we restrict free speech). A couple of weeks later, however, the Australian Federal Police announce the 'caravan incident' was a 'criminal con-job.' It is now clear a fugitive had orchestrated the caravan incident ... in order to then tip off the cops so he could negotiate a reduced sentence if he handed himself in. But Premier Minns (with Opposition support) had his anti-free speech laws passed by then any way. So the NSW Legislative Council then set up an inquiry to look into this matter. I was selected to be part of that inquiry and we had our first hearing yesterday with the three top cops in NSW. It came out that not only was the caravan incident a 'criminal con job' but that there were 13 other anti-semitic attacks in the weeks prior that were also part of the same 'criminal con job.' This is welcome relief. Over the summer, Sydneysiders and especially our Jewish community were acutely alarmed by what appeared to be the beginning of a medieval pogrom ... but we now know the 'facts' that lead us to that conclusion were baseless. What is not so welcome is the cops knew well in advance of those anti-free speech laws passing that the hysteria that gave birth to those laws was BS. Commissioner Karen Webb is the top cop in NSW. Yesterday I asked Webb at the inquiry: JR: 'The elephant in the room is that this parliament has recently passed laws which restrict freedom of the people of NSW to speak and think freely. Do you think you should have said to the Premier, 'hey before you go ahead with these anti free speech laws because of this current hysteria that we're in, it may not be what it appears to be.' Did you have any type of discussion with the Premier about the recent curbs on free speech in this state?' WEBB: 'I leave the politics to the politicians. We provide comment when we're asked to but we don't provide comment without being asked.' JR: 'Well I would say it was a dereliction of duty. Politicians and the press and prone to hysterias but you were the adults in the room. You are not an island. While you are apolitical in your senior role you knew laws were being rushed to curb free speech. The Premier was saying almost every second day, 'We need new laws to curb free speech. By the time the Premier was saying this, it sounds like you and your team were very well aware that the caravan incident was a manipulation of the criminal justice system. Why didn't you tell the Premier, 'hey look we should not rush into restricting speech because it is a murky situation and it's not what it appears to be?' WEBB: 'Well I reject that. If we are asked, we will provide comment when asked.' ME: 'Well Mr Chair, I would like it recorded in Hansard that the NSW Police sat back and did nothing while these bad laws were being passed.'
