Public illumination: Tonight, we visited Zithobeni, in Bronkhorstspruit, to witness the public illumination of streets in this area for the first time in decades. The city has installed 73 streetlights in Rethabiseng and 28 streetlights in Zithobeni Ext 4. We joined residents, local councillors and the MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo to energise these streetlights. We want our communities to be accessible day and night and this project will ensure that this objective is achieved. Last year, the city conducted similar programmes in Rama City and Hammanskraal. During a meeting with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul, we discussed bilateral relations between our countries, as well as the situation in Europe and the Middle East. It is important that joint and coordinated actions strengthen the protection of life and help deliver greater security to people in every part of the world.
