Newsom’s Tax Deadline Arrives Gavin Newsom promised to release his remaining tax returns by the end of July. Tomorrow is the last day of the month. His office said two weeks ago the records “will be shared this month.” So far, nothing has been released. The last public returns (2020) showed the Newsoms earned nearly $1.5 million and paid roughly $480,000 in federal taxes. Most of that income came from businesses now held in a blind trust. When asked why the newer returns still haven’t appeared, Newsom replied: “And you will have all those new tax returns, because — I have no reason why you haven’t gotten them already.” (Video: AI) The clock is up. We’ll see if the promised transparency actually arrives.

At this point, even Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud. When their own representatives admit they’ve lost the trust of working Americans, it’s hard to deny that their policies have failed the people they claim to represent.
