(the whole message is fantastic, and worth a watch) "History does not remember denominations as much as it remembers conviction. Does anybody care today that Spurgeon was kicked out of the Baptist Union? No, they do not. Does anybody even care about what the Baptist Union is? No, we do not. Do we care that Spurgeon stood for his convictions? Yes, we do. And those convictions are built upon over time. The Church of England, though great as it is, mighty as it is, is a denomination in rubble and ultimately what matters is the convictions that you stand for and the true unity that you build with other believers."
