I am grateful to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands for such a symbolic visit – coming to Ukraine almost immediately after beginning his work at the head of the new Government. I informed Rob Jetten Rob Jetten about the situation on the battlefield and about the Russian attacks that do not stop for a single day. We need stable, steady support every day while the war continues. The Netherlands demonstrates exactly the kind of support that works most effectively – a predictable annual volume of €3 billion each year. The Netherlands is also investing in the PURL initiative, which is critical for us and allows us to purchase air defense missiles. It is important that we are producing weapons together with the Netherlands – and we will certainly continue and expand this joint work. This is also provided for in the joint statement we adopted today. We discussed this in detail during the meeting – investments, licenses, and possible production volumes. The Netherlands has supported us since the first days of this war, and in many aspects – defense support, assistance to our energy sector, support for sanctions against Russia, as well as political support for Ukraine. A few hours ago there was a strike on the Slovyansk Thermal Power Plant – a strike with Russian bombs. Sadly, two people were killed. My condolences. There are also wounded. This is outright terror. Normal people don’t wage war like this, and the world must respond appropriately to such Russian warfare. It is very important that we have specific agreements with Norway precisely in the field of energy – support for our gas purchases. We also have agreements with Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, and we are working with them on equipment for electricity generation. We are counting on the support of the European Commission as well. Today, Minister of Energy of Ukraine is having a meeting with representatives of the Group of Seven – the G7 energy ministers – countries that certainly can and will support Ukraine. We are ensuring such cooperation with them.

Our experience is already being used in the Middle East and the Gulf. We are improving defense against “shahed” drones, and we believe this should also be done in Europe. Today, for this purpose, we initiated a Drone Deal with Norway and signed a Joint Declaration on Enhanced Defense and Security Cooperation. Now our teams will work out the details. We also focused on our joint production projects and cooperation priorities for this year, and not only in defense. We continue to work together with partners to strengthen our countries. I personally thank Jonas, Norway, and all Norwegians for their military and energy support for Ukraine, for strengthening our air defense, and for their readiness to continue support for the PURL initiative. I had a meeting with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives, during which I presented the key points of the Victory Plan, which can strengthen us on the path to peace. We are at a critical juncture in this war. We need really strong pressure and strong positions for Ukraine. We also discussed the situation on the battlefield, the protection of our energy grid, and the preparation of our country for the winter ahead. Freedom relies on the bipartisan support and determination of the United States. I am grateful for America’s support for Ukraine, which saves lives of our people and helps defend our independence and freedom.

We also discussed the situation on the battlefield, the protection of our energy grid, and the preparation of our country for the winter ahead. I had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Gideon Sa'ar Gideon Sa'ar | גדעון סער. I am grateful for the support of Ukraine and Ukrainians, for this visit. We discussed our cooperation, primarily in the economic and defense sectors, strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense, and opportunities for joint weapons production. We are grateful to Israel for its decision to provide assistance for water supply systems in the southern regions. This is very important. We also hope for support in humanitarian demining of contaminated areas. This was discussed during the meeting. Thank you for your readiness to help.
