Democrats couldn't bring themselves to codify Roe because they wanted to use it as leverage election after election. If establishment Democrats truly cared, they would have protected it, but do you see Democrats caring about medical privacy, which was the basis for Roe?

There are roughly 10k late term abortions - after 21 weeks - in the US annually, and most of those are because of medical necessity. The point of viability for a fetus is roughly 24 weeks, but some babies have been known to survive earlier births with a bit of medical assistance. Seems appropriate to ban all but medically-necessary abortions - life of the mother, lethal fetal anomalies -after 20 or 21 weeks.

This is complete fear mongering!! Obviously you can’t keep a non viable pregnancy indefinitely. This situation causes concerns for the life of the mother. Not only has Trump been a strong advocate for state rights, but he has also stated exceptions for life of the mother, rape, and incest.

So can you find common ground and ban late term abortions that are done simply for convenience? Because you again use the heartbreaking circumstance as if it’s the norm not the exception.

Those tragedies are very rare, but they are used to justify late-term abortion on demand. The NIH determined that the most common cause of 3rd trimester abortion was simple procrastination.
