About six months ago our church made the first steps to start singing less “Jesus is my boyfriend” music and more theologically rich, historically Christian, and beautiful music. We’ve plodded along, and it’s taken a bit of work. We meet on Wednesdays and practice a bit before our Bible... study, but the outcome is worth it. Well worth it. Now, by God’s grace, we joyfully close every service with our hands high and the Doxology in four parts. We aren’t professionals, I get it, but this might be the most beautiful thing I hear every week. This is completely within reach. If we can do it, anybody can. To be honest- no one at Ihop was encouraged to sing 'Jesus is my boyfriend or I'm going in a date with Jesus'. Everyone was encouraged to use biblical language. And if someone sang this -they were quickly told- Hopefully they were told kindly- but they were told to not use language like that when singing Song of Solomon. Even with the first verse. Singers would sing- 'kiss my heart or awaken my heart with your revelation. Or with your word.' Anyway- that's what I remember. And that's what the teams I served on did.

Why is it that some people grow more spiritually than others? I think the answer is simple: they’re intentional about it. Spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident. It takes deliberate effort and consistent choices to draw closer to God. Now that 2025 is officially here, let’s skip the usual New Year’s resolutions that are quickly forgotten and make a New Year commitment to Christ instead. Let’s decide to grow in our faith and live out the Christian life the way it’s meant to be lived. Here are a few ways to start: • Be intentional about prayer: Set aside time every day to talk to God. Prayer is where the power is, and it’s how we stay connected to Him. • Stay rooted in God’s Word: Open your Bible daily. It’s God’s love letter to you, filled with wisdom, guidance, and encouragement. • Plug into Church: Don’t go it alone. Join a small group or find a church where you can be supported and challenged in your walk with Jesus. Needless to say, we would love to have you at our Church, Harvest! • Serve others: Jesus came to serve, and He calls us to do the same. Look for opportunities to show His love in practical ways. First, we are capable of producing at least 2,000 effective and combat-proven interceptors every day. We can produce more – it depends on investment. We need about 1,000 interceptors a day, and we can supply at least another 1,000 a day to our allies. Second, we know how to build radar and acoustic coverage to respond to how “shaheds” and other drones approach. Third, we have software that allows radars to keep working even under electronic warfare jamming. In real time, we analyze enemy frequencies and respond to them. And because of this system, we understand how effective our defense is against almost every attack drone, and we can move our positions and air defense to get better results. This iPad gives full control of the situation because we have a system for using our defense tools. If a “shahed” needs to be stopped in the Emirates – we can do it. If it needs to be stopped in Europe or the United Kingdom – we can do it. It is a matter of technology, investment, and cooperation. This is chilling and uncomfortable. But, I get it. In a weird but compelling way, I get it. As a people, we move on. We move to the next headline quickly. We are shocked, we lament, protest, etc but eventually ... WE MOVE ON. This AI rendering of a story is morbid and uncomfortable... And even triggering. But, dammit, maybe this is what is needed. Evil gets shielded and protected by our need to not want to be confronted by truths that make us uncomfortable. How many stories of families hiding traumas and crimes of familial culprits because they don't want to expose the shame of umdeni? What does that do but protect perpetrators? Our discomfort about our reality can be a hindrance to accountability. The shame and discomfort should be reserved for the culprit. We are surprised how recidivism is so high in Mzansi, but we forget that we protect criminals' dignity more than the victims'. There is a lot that is cringe-y about AI and it should be regulated. This, though chilling, I feel it is a necessary evil if it will make Olorato and many like her not to become old news because today we have moved on to a new shocking headline. Remember her and live with the reality that you or someone you love and/or know may be next.

So of course, I worry about myself, and about everyone. 🐰: To be honest, what defines Keng and Namping has always been things like walking around freely, eating street noodles, living simply. But now, the more we try to be close to people, the more we start to worry. We start feeling uneasy, like maybe we can’t do things the same way anymore. We begin to think more carefully: if we go out to eat, should it be somewhere more private? If we meet people, should it be at times when there aren’t many others around? There’s a lot more to consider now, because we really don’t want anything bad to happen. 🐰: But we can never truly know someone’s intentions, whether they’re real or not. And if something were to actually happen one day, the people who would be hurt the most would be our parents, our fans, and ourselves. No matter who it is, we don’t want any artist to have to go through something like this. We don’t want this to be seen as something “normal.” 🐰: At this point, the company also feels that this has gone too far. It’s no longer just about protection, it’s becoming a legal matter. Because this is something we genuinely cannot accept. And honestly, it doesn’t only affect Namping; it affects other artists in the company too. I shan’t comment more on the passing of our friend as it becomes almost crass to post and post about her. She was my friend and I keep that in my heart and memory. I will share this for Shabbat. A beautiful video made by our exquisite fairy. Her last message to us in our little group was a week ago today. I’ve dreaded today as I knew we wouldn’t get a new piece of art. All I’ll say is we all can be the people we admire by DOING IT. We can harness and share light. We can choose not to gossip. We can learn more instead of being lazy (this is my curse) Have a meaningful and peaceful Shabbat. To all non Jewish friends have a great weekend. We matter to each other. It’s just an app but the friendships are real. We are real people engaged in something we believe in. Always be kind to one another. We do not know what is round the corner.

This is a pivotal moment in the history our our nation. Now the election is over, as Christians we should be praying for a mighty spiritual awakening to sweep our land. Government cannot bring revival, only God can. I don’t know about you, but I want less, not more Government. We just want to practice our First Amendment rights and do what we do best- Teach and preach the Word of God and seek to fulfill the Great Commission. Here is my prayer for President- Elect Trump and for our nation. Please join me in it-

"Every team wants to win a championship, but not every team wants to do the things required for a championship. And here's the thing: it's easy to be an average team. It doesn't require a lot. It's less adversity to be average in the world. The consequences of being average aren't easy. We end up wearing them. There's strain and struggle that comes with that too. The standard is just lower to be an average team. To be a championship team, to be champion, to be a championship team member here . . . I'm not gonna lie to you . . . I'm going to tell you the truth. It is harder. It is. The question is: Is it worth it? Some people say, "Oh it's not harder work." Yes it is. It's harder work. You can pursue comfort or you can pursue excellence. If we pursue comfort, we gotta give up some excellence. But if we pursue excellence, then we're just going to face more adversity. Everyone who's ever accomplished something excellence has had to overcome it. We are here today for a reason. Two reasons actually. Reason #1 is let's make sure that we identify and realize the opportunities that are in front of us. Reason #2 is let's make sure that we are preparing for the adversity that those opportunities require. And just understand: every single time you lever up your opportunities and you identify, "Oh there's something more I can do, more I can achieve. I can get better. I can earn more. I can do this." It's going to be matched with the adversity that comes with it. I want to make sure we are prepared for both of those, so that we're not chasing big opportunities and then getting mad when things start getting harder along the way. Is that fair? Does that make sense?"
