Today marks the six month anniversary of Pete's death. It feels like forever ago and it feels like yesterday. Time ticks by and we know there's a lot of uncertainty about what the future will hold. Many things are out of our control, but you know what isn't? Our actions. We - all of us - get to wake up each morning and decide how we're going to spend the day. We get to decide how we react to things. Choose to help Ukraine. There's a lot of noise online. Drown it out, stay focused. There are lives that rely on the fundraising done by ordinary people like us - like you. And if you get tired and wonder if it's worth the effort, just remember: Even if just one life is saved, it was all worth it. We feed 800 dogs per day and are about to go to 1000 next week. This lovely lady called Pi Fa is a huge dog lover and does all the cooking and heavy lifting. She is an absolute treasure. 🩷 I get a lot of the credit but there are a bunch of people like her helping me. My role is to find dog lovers like her and support them. 🙏

And now everyone feels like they desperately have to win. Like RIGHT NOW. It's like this primal drive to win. Like right this second. Like there is a clock. And it’s ticking. And you just don’t know how much time is on it. And the dollar is getting worthless. And everyone is just printing money. It feels like we're in the early innings of desperation.
