There is no resupply base in the Gulf of Oman. The U.S. Navy has a logistics hub well outside the Gulf of Oman in Duqm Oman which was bombed early on the Iran. The U.S. Navy needs prior approval to use this logistics hub by Omani authorities. It is part of their use agreement with The Sultanate of Oman. All in all this is not accurate news at all.

Iran did damage the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain not some main resupply base in the Gulf of Oman and this was known and made public. Satellite imagery and reporting confirmed serious hits to buildings and infrastructure there. Supply lines for ships like the USS Abraham Lincoln got strained as a result, and there were real reports of rationing and tough conditions after a long deployment. That’s it. Nobody secretly hid a massive loss of a completely destroyed base. Sailors weren’t ‘starving without food.’ Washington isn’t collapsing. Those are your additions. Stick to the actual damage in Bahrain and the logistics problems it caused instead of inventing a total wipeout in the wrong body of water and turning hardship into starvation and national collapse.
