David on why venture capital has become more competitive: "When I started my career, there were one or two technology companies in the largest 10 market cap companies. Now it's 8 of 10, and 7 of 8 are West Coast technology venture-backed companies. There's $5T of private market cap up 10x in the last 10 years and it's some of the best companies in the world. That's a quarter of the S&P 500 and more than half of the Mag 7. Our portfolio on average dollar weight is growing 112%. The quality of small cap public companies is much lower than what's available in the private markets."
