Why is the onus on the person and not the government? Who is the keeper of the records? When you're applying to register to vote, you have to produce either an ID or a Social Security number. This video raises a lot of questions about what usually goes through the mind of an average voter when they choose a presidential candidate. Do we vote to get a larger share of government resources, or do we vote because we want better governance and services, since we all pay taxes? The belief that we vote just to secure a bigger piece of the pie is why we turn bitter when development projects go to areas that didn’t vote for the government. Above all, when you’re used to privileges like coffee waivers, tea waivers, etc., equality starts to feel like oppression.
