@rafa_brrb Can’t really think of any other piece of music that fits this scene better, it’s absolutely integral. The silence to fill in the gaps of what happened also is great. Kiwami 2 completely missed the point of this scene.

I played Y2 before I touched YK2. This, was especially one of the points where I felt, " Oh, the original did it WAY BETTER!". Plus, a lot less music for the soundtrack, and the one area they cut, to just have it take place in Sotenbori. Y2 has the sauce, YK2 doesn't

It comes out of nowhere when he should be on his guard, and let's it down to help a homeless man. It's his biggest flaw being kind and gullible. I love how Y2 makes Kiryu face consequences for his recklessness and this is all of that wrapped into one scene. Fucking RULES man

I hope stranger than heaven brings back well directed cutscenes like this. This is the kind of peak thats missing in the newer games

We all lost a bit of Respect for the series after Kiwami 3 but let's be real Yakuza has some of the best written Scenes in Videogame history Someya resolution in 6, Kiryu vs everyone in 5, Rikiya Fate in 3, That very scene here in 2, Majima intro in 1, Dojima intro in 0 and more

Kiwami genuinely had nothing compared to this for this scene. I've always considered 2 to be one of the weaker entries in the series but I might have to emulate this shit now.

Every time I see it It's sorta ruined by my brain playing the K2 version alongside it. It's such a shame what they've done in regards to remastering/remaking these games. I wish things were different, there was so much potential on the table but they forgot their original vision.
