Ignorant! Whenever he debates Muslims, he finds it so easy to resort to the Qur'an and Hadith, twisting verses and taking advantage of his audience's lack of familiarity with Islamic sources. But I've noticed that Unitarians often give him a hard time because they don't let him get away with the same tactics.

LOL another howler from GriftLogic and his fans are casually sporting it as a win 😭 Btw, this verse "God is One" (Verbatim) is one of two times it is mentioned in the NT The second time was when James responded to Paul, saying: "You believe God is one. You do well, even the demons believe, and yet they shudder". (James 2:19) In response to Paul's "Faith Apart from Works" doctrine, which protestants like Avery follow LOL. Also the founder of their faith, Martin Luther, wrote about the epistle of James saying it is the epistle of straw, challenged it's authority, said "He is against st Paul" (1522 preface to the epistles of st James and jude by Martin Luther), and said whoever can console the two let him put on his doctor's hat and call him a fool (Volume 54 of the American Edition of Luther's Works (Table Talk), Entry No. 3294.)

Context proves you wrong Galatians 3:15–29 (especially 16, 19, 22, 24–28) places 3:20 in a passage centered on Christ as the promised “seed”/offspring of Abraham, the goal of the temporary Mosaic Law, and the one in whom believers become sons and heirs. Here are the key surrounding verses are closely aligned. Immediately before (vv. 15–19) • 3:16: “The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say ‘and to seeds,’ meaning many people, but ‘and to your seed,’ meaning one person, who is Christ.” • 3:19: “Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator.” These frame the law as temporary and mediated (Moses/angels), in contrast to the unilateral promise that points directly to Christ. Verse 20 itself • “A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.” Standard commentaries (Calvin, Vincent, etc.) read this as contrasting the bilateral/conditional Mosaic covenant (which needed a mediator between two parties) with God’s unilateral promise to Abraham. “God is one” underscores that God acted alone in the promise, not that it is primarily a proof-text about the number of persons in the Godhead. Immediately after (vv. 21–29) — these most clearly amplify Jesus • 3:22: “But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.” • 3:24: “So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.” • 3:26–28: “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” • 3:29: “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” The surrounding argument is that the promise to Abraham finds its fulfillment in Christ (the singular seed), the law was a temporary tutor until Christ, and through faith in Christ people become Abraham’s true offspring and one body. Christian interpreters typically use this broader unit (not 3:20 in isolation) to highlight Christ’s role as the heir, the end of the law’s guardianship, and the source of unity and sonship. This is the classic Pauline contrast between the mediated, temporary law and the promise fulfilled in Jesus. Different traditions (including in Christian–Muslim discussions) weight 3:20 differently—some emphasize “God is one” more ontologically, while the chapter’s main thrust is Christocentric. The full paragraph makes the Christ-centered reading hard to miss.

This is a big check mate!!! It’s literally all over the Bible god is 1. But if you want to make god into 3 you have to pull the context from 10 verses twist meanings. Make analogies, Compair sentence structure, be partially dishonest, and click your heels 3 times.

But you have to understand, this is exactly his MO. When he has these “conversations”, he doesn’t go into them believing he has superior knowledge and understanding. As the saying goes, “Never argue with a fool, onlookers will not be able to tell the difference”.

it’s the involvement of parties that’s being addressed. when the promise was made to abraham, this was directly from God; one party. unlike moses with the angels (v19) which involved two. it’s not the collective amount talked, but the “transactional” oneness made in the promise

Where does the Bible say that god is one person… Still waiting on this. Galatians 3:20 stating that god is one but the mediator[moses] is not of just one person doesn’t answer what Avery asked for. Explicitly trinitarianism affirms 1 god with a triplicity of persons…

John 10:20, but it doesn’t matter that you don’t believe because Jesus literally says you won’t because you aren’t one of His sheep. But I pray He will find you one day and you are His!
