Last week, we were in Danville to scout hijacked City of Tshwane properties. Today, we are back with reinforcements to reclaim our properties. Today, we’re sharing the history of Foundation Labs, written from our perspective as founders. Donut and Devotions. Every other Thursday I meet with the guys during lunch. I open up the shed/meeting room and try to create a quiet space where they can relax, take a deep breath and reflect on what is good. We share where we are feeling unrest in our lives. We read from the wisdom found Proverbs and then we spend time in prayer. Afterwards the kids have access to the field to throw and hangout together. It’s the highlight of my week. Connect and build community. That’s the business we are in.

Black African “migrants”, illegals, economic opportunists, whatever fashionable euphemism the Brussels set prefers this week, hurling a shopping trolley off an overpass onto a busy EU highway, straight into the path of lorries and cars doing seventy. One wrong twitch, one split-second of distraction, and that’s families obliterated, drivers turned into statistics. What the hell are they playing at? This isn’t some jolly misunderstanding between cultures. This is raw contempt for the society that’s been forced to accommodate them. They don’t care. Not about the lives below, not about the rules of any civilised order, not about the country that’s given them sanctuary they never earned. They treat the infrastructure of Europe like their personal playground for mischief and malice. A shopping cart becomes a weapon. Next time it’ll be a breeze block, or worse. And the authorities? They’ll wring their hands, mutter about “integration challenges,” and carry on importing more. This is the death rattle of multiculturalism, laid bare for anyone still pretending it works. We were told diversity would enrich us, vibrant new neighbours bringing “spice” to our streets and innovation to our economies. What we got instead was parallel societies, no-go zones, and now this: deliberate sabotage of the arteries that keep a nation moving. The native peoples of these islands, and of the continent, built these motorways, these bridges, these societies. We maintained the peace, the trust, the high-trust order that lets strangers pass each other without calculating escape routes. Mass immigration from incompatible places has shattered that. It has imported low-trust, high-violence mindsets that see our generosity as weakness to be exploited. England and the British Isles don’t need lectures on tolerance from people who’d never tolerate this in their own ancestral homelands. We need to put our own first, our safety, our culture, our children’s future. End the experiment that’s bleeding us dry and endangering our people. No more excuses. How much more do the decent, law-abiding natives have to endure before the political class admits the bleeding obvious: diversity, as practised, has failed. Catastrophically. And it’s our people paying the price in blood. We must end this shit show.

Yesterday the People of Israel celebrated the end of the British Mandate over our land and the end of thousands of years of exile and injustice. We celebrated our historic return back to having sovereignty over our land - Yom Haatzmaout 🇮🇱 In Montreal, I went out to have some powerful conversations and this man came up to me. He is the perfect example of a Jew hater who uses the Palestinian cause to channel his antisemitism instead of fight for justice. One thing is certain the people of Israel are forever tied to our land and the more we are shamed for it or the more that it is rejected - the more we prove we aren’t going anywhere. Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Because we have forgotten that this violence is still possible if we are not honest, vigilant and decisive. If people who live in Europe are capable of this horrible attacks, it says a lot about how europe failed to impose its values even on its own soil. Just two months ago, we were on the verge of letting go of a customer that we had been serving for more than two years. The prices were super competitive as they were procuring these springs from China. According to our cost calculations, we would have to sell them these springs at our breakeven price point. We would not be making any profit from their orders. The volumes were huge and we decided to take up the challenge. In manufacturing, one of the very important metric that your product cost depends on is cycle time. The speed at which we are able to process that part within the desired tolerance. Higher the speed at which you can manufacture, lower the cost of making that component. We could only manage 150 pcs/minute on our imported machines. At this speed, it was unviable for us. It would only make sense for us to continue if we were somehow able to manufacture this spring at a minimum of 200 pcs/minute. We were far apart and it seemed we wouldn’t be able to reach that goal. We were on the verge of giving up after two years of persistent effort in increasing our speed. Today, we manufactured that same spring on the CNC machines that we built in-house at a whopping 220 pcs/minute! We went from almost letting go off that customer to now asking that very same customer to increase our order volumes! First video is our imported machine at 150 pcs/minute. The second video is our in-house machine at 220 pcs/minute.

Update on LAT Aerospace Our first uSTOL technology demonstrator is ready. Today, we have a fully-electric, fixed-wing UAV, built from scratch and almost ready for flight. To make this possible in just a few months, we built our entire flight lab from scratch. Every bench, every tool, every fixture designed to push the aircraft closer to flight every single day. This aircraft is designed to takeoff in 40 meters (thanks to a massive CL of 5 which is more than 2x of what you see on most aircraft). Endurance of 60 minutes. With a range of being able to cruise autonomously from Mumbai to Pune. Ground rolls done. As I type this, we are pushing hard to get the bird in the air. Hopefully it doesn't blow up. Either way, I promise videos of our attempt sometime over the next few weeks. We have learnt so much over the last few months, and I am sure that there are a lot of hard learnings yet in store for us. Our research on hybrid-electric propulsion is already in full swing, and we’ve also started building a team to begin development on our own gas turbine engines. This is one of the hardest engineering challenges possible. Our team is relentlessly at it to make this a reality before the turn of this decade. Big news! Today we are announcing that Shopify is acquiring the Threads team. There are a million feelings and thoughts from this journey, but nothing more than gratitude to all of our users and customers for building with us, my colleagues (both current and former) for making all of this possible, our investors, especially Mike Vernal, Elad Gil, Avichal - Electric ϟ Capital, and Jessica Verrilli for their unwavering support and guidance, and all of our friends and family who put up with the late nights, canceled plans, and the general roller coaster that is startup life. To our customers and users who have been asking, here’s how we got here: The past several months have been some of the most interesting and intense of my life. It all started with the rise of Instagram Threads, which presented us with the opportunity to sell our domains. Around the same time, a handful of companies approached us, wondering if we would be open to an acquisition. When this happened in the past, we would politely decline. However, this time, things were different. We weren't that excited about the time it would take to invest in a rebrand, and with mind-warping technological advances now being a commodity, we were excited about joining a place where we could tinker at scale. Each company we chatted with was incredible. However, what ultimately led us to choose Shopify over others was their culture; two distinct things in particular: 1) Craft-obsessed. Their obsession with not just building the right thing, but also building it the right way is inspiring. Sacrifice shows priority, and hearing stories about some of the hard decisions they made to ensure that what they ship is robust, scalable, and trustworthy, even at the cost of short-term metric gains, really proved that their obsession with craft was much more than a feel-good slogan. Their discussions and decisions have me truly believing they're going to be around for 100 years. 2) For entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs. Just about every product and engineering leader I met was an ex-founder who grinded for years to turn nothing into something. They all still had that air of resilience, obsession with the details at every part of the stack, and a compelling vision of the future for whatever they were working on. Threads leadership is also made up of ex-founders, so the entrepreneurial focus at Shopify made it clear that it would be the best environment for us to grow and thrive. I’m hearing from first-year students who, while studying for exams in their dorm room, are being confronted with terrifying chants of globalize the Intifada - a call for the murder of Jews. I’m now receiving calls from their parents who are frightened to learn that Hamas supporters are being allowed to camp out in Harvard Yard - in brazen defiance to the university’s explicit guidelines - and are chanting in support of terrorism and call for the murder of Jews. The last two nights at the Harvard Chabad Seder table, along with Jews around the world, we read the words of the Passover Haggadah how “in each and every generation they rise up against us to destroy us. And the Holy One, blessed be He, rescues us from their hands.” That those who seek the destruction of the Jewish people are receiving support from Harvard students and other university students around the country - as we heard today from Hamas, should shake every moral person to their core.
