I’m deeply sorry for taking Liberty away from all of you. She did her very best until the end. She held on without falling, protecting me all the way. Even after she stopped, she stayed strong and calm. She was almost too strong, too wise for words. I am truly grateful to the Hong Kong Jockey Club for responding swiftly and standing by her side. Although I was only her rider in races, she was always gentle and welcoming to me even at the stable. She was also kind to my family. So many memories come rushing back — all because she was there.
