It's the gate program on steroids. They control these kids until they're no longer making money and then they mysteriously leave this world or end up insane or homeless.

I was a Media Arts major in college with a focus on film/video editing and I never wanted to work for/in Hollywood. I worked at NBC for a short period and I’ve done several press junkets for films, but that’s as far as I’d take it. I had a great job at a small post-production house in NYC where I’d edit my assigned projects in the back without anyone bothering me. I miss that job.
