moving logos of big companies way more interesting than moving logos of small companies

i agree w/ his take that pple are happier working longer on things that interest them than fewer hours on things they don't care about. the idea this happens in banking is comical though

How about money. Don’t know why these guys keep inventing creative explanations for what is simple. People are willing to go through the banking gauntlet because the compensation is very high. You remove that nobody is staying back for the interesting work.

Think this is actually spot on. The more correct question may be if people find interesting work / passion within banking or if the (at least primary) driver is comp. Not saying it’s one or the other, but might be the right debate to have.

He was about to say a number of hours and he stopped himself, because he realized what an awful take this was mid-sentence.

Nothing more important than aligning company logos at 3am for a pitch that Goldman is going to win anyways

Nah dude, let Peter cook

When was the last time he worked on a banking deal as a junior? What’“important things”?

Nothing insane here I’d rather work 90hrs doing something interesting/somewhat enjoyable than 40hrs doing something I hate

I agree with him
